Actors -  Gerald Geraghty

American screenwriter Gerald Geraghty was the son of writer Tom J. Geraghty and the brother of writer Maurice Geraghty and actress Carmelita Geraghty. Gerald got his start in Hollywood composing subtitles for the silent version of the 1930 talkie Street of Chance. Frequently teamed with brother Maurice, he went on to collaborate on such Mascot serials as The Phantom Empire (1935) and The Miracle Rider (1936). His subsequent credits ranged from the exotic Dorothy Lamour vehicles of the 1930s to the "Falcon" programmers of the 1940s. Gerald Geraghty was busiest in the western field, writing scripts for the likes of Hopalong Cassidy ), Tex Ritter and Roy Rogers (including the delightful, star-studded Trail of Robin Hood [1950]). ~ Hal Erickson, Rovi
