Entrepreneur Joseph P. Kennedy is best remembered as the patriarch of the politically powerful Kennedy dynasty, but in the '20s and '30s he was a noted producer and owned Film Booking Offices of America, a film distribution and production company, where he served as president and chairman of the board in 1928. He sold the company to RCA in 1929 and then bought a large share of Pathe Exchange. There he was president and director through the company's merger with RKO in 1930. Kennedy became the special advisor to Paramount Pictures. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
