A diminutive rustic comic from Missouri, Shorty Hendrix would bill himself variously as N.E. Hendricks, Noah Hendrix, and many other derivations of his given name, Noah E. Hendrix. He was N.E. "Shorty" Hendrix in Charles Chaplin's Sunnyside (1919), but almost always Shorty Hendrix when playing comedic sidekicks to such also-ran Western stars as Leo Maloney and Buddy Roosevelt.
