Producer Thomas Goodwin, Jr. got his start working with Andy Warhol and his Factory and then went on to become heavily involved in educational programming. In the early 1970s, he worked on the controversial PBS documentary series An American Family. Goodwin went on to found the distinguished production company, State of the Art, Inc. In 1992, he produced the Academy Award-winning documentary Educating Peter, a moving slice from the life of a Down's syndrome child. Goodwin died in November that year. ~ Sandra Brennan, Rovi
