An elderly character actor from Belfast, Northern Ireland, white-haired, distracted-looking Thomas Louden began popping up in Hollywood movies in the late '30s, playing the priest in Prison Break (1938), Madeleine Carroll's butler in Honeymoon in Bali (1939), Mr. Verger in Mrs. Miniver (1942), Old Tom in The Corn Is Green (1946), and Barbara Stanwyck's butler in The Strange Case of Martha Ivers (1946). He died of a stroke in his Hollywood home. ~ Hans J. Wollstein, Rovi
