Ahh Simon Amstell. The British Neil Patrick Harris

After your review. I was a lil bummed it wasn't what you were expecting. But still gonna see it cuz it seems dark and funny, even with the confusing aspect narrative wise. Hopefully my added Britishness will get me through it better then you guys.

(also slightly agreeing with Ladya a few comments down, was Nominated. din' win shit. Maybe i'll see why when i watch it)

Langham is a very prolific writer, from The Muppet show to The Thick of it which was made into the film In The Loop.

You guys keep riffing on the movie winning a BAFTA when it didn't even win a BAFTA: it was nominated, but didn't win.

You're way behind on the story. Langham was arrested back in 2005, and his trail ended in 2007. He was found guilty of downloading child pornography, and sentenced to a few months in prison, which he served. This isn't a "recent" case.

And if Roman Polanski can continue to make films, garner critical acclaim and win awards after raping a 13 year old child, and then hide out in France from the law for almost four decades, living the high life, I don't see why Chris Langham, himself a victim of child abuse, who stepped up and took responsibility for his crimes, and who's kept his head down for the past few years, shouldn't be allowed to attempt to restart his acting career.

Am still a loyal Spillio, but this review was just so misinformed it left me more annoyed than entertained. Sorry, guys. Bet you'll make me laugh again in other reviews, so am off to check those out :)
