    I think 30 years from now, whatever form of hipster's exist then will be the only people who actually remember Tyler Perry movies. They will talk about how it was the blacksploitation of 2000's.  Also not to harp on that same point but Blackharp is right, there is no such thing as reverse racism, it's just racism plain and simple.

    Anyways it was a great review guys.

    Thing is most intellectual black have denounced Tyler Perry and with the numbers he makes his demographic goes beyond just black audiences. Plenty of movies cater to the least common denominator while still making money and the same applies for Tyler Perry.

    First, I like when Leon and Cyrus review together... you guys get right down to it without all of the goofy stuff.

    Secondly, I couldn't agree more...  refuse the spend money on Tyler Perry and his BS. Black people do get work because of him, but his films are an one trick pony. I'm black, and love movies. I dont go for the color of the skin of the actors, I go if the story is appealing and the craftmanship is good.

    So glad people already commented about reverse racism not being a thing. Medea is just a waste of time as a black woman I just find the movies awkward to watch because it's like every negative stereotype or just stereotype about black women rolled into each movie. If I want to watch a parody of black culture, I'm going to watch The Boondocks. Funny enough, the biggest fan of these movies that I know is my self-proclaimed redneck white friend.

    Also, it's not really an equal comparison between blacks not wanting whites in their homes and whites not wanting blacks in there home. They would both be prejudice, yes, but it's not an equal comparison considering the history of black/white relations in the US. //off soapbox

    Lay down and take a shit in my mouth BEST LINE EVER. But on a more serious note I can't stand Tyler Perry's movies they give a ridiculous and over the top view of black people. I hated it when Eddie Murphy did it a little bit and  now it's almost disheartening that black people are just laying down and accepting Tyler Perry ideal of "good comedy for black people". BTW love the HIGH some ol bullshit. I give this movie a Korey two middle finger up FUCK YOOOOOOU.

    Thing is... this kind of thing IS what black people at large find funny.  Not just African Americans but even where I live in Barbados, the black populace just flocks to this stuff for Madea's antics.  They don't see it as parody to the point where it becomes racist at all.  Kinda sad really.

    Sorry, pet peeve but, There is no such thing as Reverse racism, only racism which can be targeted to any race. I knew what you meant so I'm not really mad, just kinda irritated for 2 seconds. or I guess 30 since I took the time to write this.

    I shake my head to movies like this... stop watch Tyler Perry's "anything" after "Why Did I Get Married". Did enjoy the TV shows though... I'd make better movies than this.

    There's no such thing as reverse racism. Racism is racism.

    Calvin, I wouldn't have a problem with that if it were context sensitive; but every time I see "reverse racism," it means being racist against white people. I'm not offended by racism used as a joke either way, but it's not right to distinguish between those two.

    @Cyrus  That's not reverse racism what they do to white people in this movie. That's just racism. Reverse racism is defined as being overly accommodating to a race that's not your own on purpose, so as to make reparations, like you're speaking down to them and giving them more special treatment than they need.

    @Shaddoowkhan

    It's just a term to differentiate the two types they were talking about.

    You goes should reverse the roles every once in a while and have like co-host and leon do a review together and cyrus and korey. That never happens.

    I don't know. The trailer for Alex Cross looks pretty good to me but then again, trailers can be deceiving...

    The concept of reverse racism is a complete joke.

    @Nigel:

    That's the thing. Those characters you listed, they are MEANT to be that way to prove a point. In a way they're the antagonists, the curmudgeons, the ones we're supposed to laugh AT, not with. They aren't the main protagonists that you're supposed to SIDE with, to go "Yeah! Fuck them negroes!", especially if they don't learn jack shit by the end of it (and again, we're supposed to side with them). Or God forbid, go "Well you must be one of the good ones!"

    While the whole Plight-Of-The-White-Man reverse racism thing sometimes annoys me too, Cyrus does have a point. We're supposed to laugh and cheer and be okay with the fact that Madea doesn't want white people in her home. If the point of the movie was to show her the error of her ways, or at least TRY to expose her racism, then that's one thing. But that's not the point of the movie. It's just used as a stupid and lazy narrative device to make the same cliched "White people/black people differrences" jokes we've seen a billion fucking times.

    And you better believe if there was ever a movie like Cyrus's hypothetical scenario, Al Sharpton and Jessie Jackson would be on the prowl INSTANTLY starting shit up, no question about it.
