Saw this today..it was everything and more than what I expected. all I needed to know was Ben Affleck was directing...and thought "3rd time's a charm"..and it ended up being my favorite of his films. I LOVED his last 2...but this seemed to be on an entirely different level and realm than what his previous efforts were.

Definitely love true stories like this one.

This is a BITCHIN' film. Now...anybody wondering WHY it was made?  Iran is back in the news and we're planning on going to war with them so it's important that we Americans start HATING them again. Note to filmakers: Figure out a subject that furthers the government's policies....and you're IN!!!! Write the script send it in and start counting your money....in the mean time Afleck is DA MAN!!!!

I love this film, I was tense the whole time through. The details are amazing and everyone nailed it. I'm so glad I saw this in the theater. My love of film has been awakened with the current run of movies coming out.

I've seen hundreds of movies that take place in different times periods, and none of them ever give me the feeling of that time period, or what it's like in that era. But this movie to not only reminds me of the 70's, but also reminds me of 70's movies. I give it a Better Than Sex.

Ben Affleck met the devil at the cross roads. He traded. He became an excellent movie director.

The reason that Argo is not #1 in the Box office is because of its Aweful title name. If Argo were called "Taken" and "Taken 2" was called "Argo 2" then we would see a role reversal in box office numbers. Maybe not lol but I still think that Argo is an underwhelming name for such a good film.

I saw the movie.  It's definitely worth seeing if you have even a slight interest in the subject matter.  I was most amazed at the set and costume designs.  The audience was mostly older people, who probably remembered the news broadcasts vividly 30 some years ago.  I'm 38 and felt like one of the younger people there.  People clapped at the end.  I say check it out.  You won't be disappointed.

Went into this film, flying blind. I liked the trailer and i liked The Town, oddly i never saw Gone Baby Gone, but i digress. Ben Affleck really has had a miracle of a resurrection in the last few years, which truely is amazing, from a (to be frank) annoying leading guy to a sterner actor. I was skeptical about how much of this was fact and was fiction, but i believe it to be an amazing journey. I loved all the actors here from Affleck to Zelijko Ivanek and Bob Gunton and Philip Baker Hall, and was full of suspense very well. I give it a....................................FULL PRICE. Keep on making great films, Ben.

Great movie and all, but is it too much to ask that they Hollywood stop with the whitewashing?

I like Ben Affleck, but did he HAVE to be the lead role?  Makes me wonder what Mendez' family really looked like.

Brian you said Ben Affleck is from South Boston. I'm only being that asshole correc

ting commenter because we want nothing to do with that piece of shit. Ben Affleck and Matt Damon are from Cambridge, a high scale city on the other side of the river from Boston. It is in every way the polar opposite of Boston (Hippies and Harvard Yard yuppies) The only thing we have in common is voting for Obama.
