I just absolutely love this film! Easily a better than sex in my books! It's unlike any movie I've ever seen.

Leon you've had some crazy opinions on films before, but saying Heat sucks makes me wonder if your doing this just to rile people up on the site. Because you love the dark knight and that movies main influence is heat, and they have a multitude of familiar elements and scenes.

@The One They Call Chucky Or perhaps you decided to make that a coincidence since my username has the word Redemption in it, but in fact it's not, Redemption just happens to be in my username but really has nothing to do with the movie -_-

You guys really need to read the book. The reason why most of the storylines weren't that deep in the movie is because there are huge chunks taken out. For example, the story of Adam Ewing (the 1849 piece) has WAY more of an emotional impact than what was portrayed. You hardly see the things he experienced in his journey from Australia to San Francisco and it is the multitude of those events that create the depth in the storyline. The same goes for the story of Robert Frobisher (the composer in 1924). They leave out Eva (the composers daughter) and Jocasta's /frequent/ infidelities, all of which coalesce into Ayers' assholery, which is what leads to the end of Frobisher's storyline. What they did with the movie was visually excellent, but they tried to create the same emotion without keeping in what created the emotion in the first place, so it feels false.

The trailer was great, but I don't think I'd actually enjoy it.

I thought The Master was for sure the best film of the year, until I saw Cloud Atlas twice this weekend. Such beauty and wonder, this film pushes cinema forward like the first Matrix film. For me at least

I haven't seen the movie yet, but the preview blow fucking mind wide open, I had tears joy and sadness at the same time. Most movie previews get me pump to watch the movie, but that preview moved me, to the core.

The first time I saw it, I gave it a very high Full Price. But after the second time, my rating boosted up to a Better Than Sex.

It was driving me nuts trying to think who Jim Sturgess looked like as the Asian character. He looked so familiar. Then it hit me:

I have to agree with Co-Host and Korey on this one. Interesting premise, yes. But man did this movie feel over-bloated and far too serious for its own good. The closest movie I can think of that fell into this trap in The Fountain. Granted, this wasn't nearly as bad as The Fountain, but they definitely share similar themes and styles.

This movie was in no way racist. Everybody played everybody! People bitch about the stupidest shit.

@Mr. Redemption (TheCinephilePro) - "The Shank Redemption"? Hahahahahaha! I think your hiccup has crafted the most unintentionally hilarious moment of my day.

This movie would have sucked donkey balls if it was less than 2 hours.

This film ranks among my top 5 favorite films of all time IMHO.  My other favorites are Gandhi, The Green Mile, The Shank Redemption and Inception.

I never mind 3hr movies...and actually I look forward to them. Just came back from this and honestly..as beautiful as it was at times..it just felt like a clusterfuck really. I didnt hate it..but I definitely didnt love it. It was definitely a mess but looked good and was sometimes interesting. I paid a matinee price but felt like it COULD have just been a High Rental..get high when you rent it.

As a gamer who is used to 40 hour+ RPG's, lately 3 hour movies don't bother me.
