I liked the movie, not great, not bad, just ok. Low Matinee imo. I'd save up to see the Hobbit.

Yeah, I have no idea why you guys were so hard on this film.

First off, I don't understand the bad acting part. I thought the acting was pretty good. Secondly, the whole premise of North Korea invading us isn't far fetched. Any civilization can crumble. We as Americans are just blessed enough to be able to go to bed without having to worry about missile attacks. Thirdly, no offense CoHost, but your childhood is still around. You can still see the original Red Dawn (unless the original creator of Red Dawn pulled a Lucas). Lastly, I gotta stick up for my boy, Josh. I used to watch Drake and Josh as a kid, and I enjoyed every minute of it. Yes he was an ass towards the beginning of the movie, but he eventually grew out of it; not to mention in times of war and conflict, there would/are people who are asses.

While this wasn't a perfect movie (some scenes felt out of place, didn't by Josh as a badass), I think this movie was very well done, and I'm going to see the original because of this movie.

By the way: it was great hearing Cyrus on one of these again, and the crush of Thor part of the review was hilarious.

You know what I'm getting sick of?

I'm getting sick of the trailer sound effects...Specifically that shrill rising sound that cuts to black to convey a sense of suspense...Its in EVERY trailer and it's annoying.

Dude you can't say the Spill Crew completely missed the boat on this one when you say it perfectly caters to people who spend hours playing Call of Duty. Most of the guys thought the action hardly if at all made up for the poor acting and dialogue. You say its great while I found it to be run of the mill and ultimately boring.

A movie I enjoyed for its great action while lacking in story and acting was Dredd or The Raid.

I'm sorry, but the Spill crew completely missed the boat on this one. For me, this was a Full Price movie. It was a lot of fun. A full on popcorn action movie. No, the acting isn't going to win any awards. No, the movie is not realistic. But it's loaded with great action, and ultimately a feeling of patriotism, without beating you over the head with it like the original movie did.

I loved the original, by the way. This had a comletely different feel to it, and fits in for the crowd that spends endless hours, locked in their parent's basement playing Call Of Duty.

I actually found this more entertaining than a lot of the other so-called great movies of the summer. It was more action packed than the mundane Skyfall, and a lot more fun the bogged down, overly pretentious The Dark Knight Rises (which is perhaps the most bloated and overrated movie since Avatar)

I have to agree with every complaint the crew had. The film may be short, but I was ready to leave at the halfway point. The characters are boring, but I am realized that the villian was not a huge racial sterevotype.

i actually wanna see what would happen if it was china attacked U.S, cuz so far i dont think theres actually a decent movie about that... it would at least be something new lol. theres plenty of films about U.S and North Korea and to be honest, its getting kinda damn boring

@Ji Wada I still think it's different. I would be interested to see what your talking about if you could link me to a story. I'm not saying you wouldn't win battles but I don't see how you could win a war.
