Just watched it. Really stupid, but I found myself sticking with it anyway. Personally, I would have liked it if the killer had been the blind kid, except he was faking his blindness, of course.

This movie angered me.  It was only showing in 3-D in my town/market.  About halfway through I pulled a quarter out of my pocket, turned to my wife and said,

"Heads we walk out, tails we stay"

I do not understand people who admit "First off, I haven't see this movie..." and after a long dialogue about something else state at the end "this film look meh. Just my opinion". What!? You can have an opinion on the Spill review, you can have an opinion on the trailer but how can you have an opinion on a film you never seen!!! Sure, waste time typing about not watching....and waste our time in reading about nothing.

First off, I have yet to see this movie, and will say that the only reason I am interested is because of We Craven. I have enjoyed his movies throughout the years. One thing I do have to say, is who ever called Nightmare on Elm Street overrated needs to get their head checked. And whether you like all the Screams, or just the first one, the first Scream changed the way horror films were looked at, and it is the soul reason that horror films are as popular as they are today. Before Scream hit in the mid 90s, horror had really gone down hill, but then Scream brought it back, and thanks to Scream we have some great modern horror films. Unfortunately its led to some real bad horror films as well, but with as many that are being made today, that is expected. Wes Craven is a legend, but this film does look meh. Just my opinion.

dam i just saw this and it's not so bad just really cheesy and cliche. well then again me and my friends were riffing on the movie most of the time. also there are some lines in this movie that i have been quoting since I have seen it. but the 3d was very lame :( then again i did like devil but that movie was so silly i thought of it more as a comedy. at least the only character I was hated brandon but after his death i could understand he was not a complete dick.

I almost wish Wes Craven would make another thriller, I loved Red Eye and I still watch it over and over again to this day( mostly for Cillian Murphy's performance).

Hated the original Last House on the Left!?!?!? DETAILS PLEASE!!!!!!! I want argue with you on Hills Have Eyes, others seem to dislike that one so I guess I only enjoy it for a cult factor, but Last House on the Left!?!? Sure, its choppy and low-budget, but damn David Hess was terrifying as hell!!!!

To quote Adam Carolla, the problem with people like Wes Craven is that they do something that the general populace approves of a long time ago and then they get a super inflated ego and surround themselves with friends who idolize everything they do. What Wes Craven needs is to encapsulate himself for a solid year with people who will honestly critique his work and tell him what he is doing wrong and how he can improve. Otherwise... well, let's just say I'm not looking forward to Scream 4.

You all know that nightmare on elm street was made like 25 years ago, Wes Craven has been the same since. The movie was just bad when people start talking in the theater doing their own commentary on the movie and people dont tell them to shut up means something.

Cyrus, it has an 8% on Rotten Tomatoes. Do your research. My friends went to see this last night and said it was awesome. I haven't, and probably won't see it.

Looked pretty dumb from the trailer. I guess it is hard to tell the degree of crap this movie may be when most other comparisons are crap. Too bad too with their previous great works.

@Cassie yeah...it is kind of a wonder why his name has any weight. well, at least enough weight for "A Wes Craven Film" to be featured prominently on the title card (which is more than what most directors get). he did some cult films in the 70s. made the over-rated Nightmare on Elm St. in the 80s. and then.....Scream? so everything he's made since 1984 has been total schlock? it kind of makes you want to give M. Night Shyamalan a break...
