  I've been wondering which scene parodies the '89 Batman as well. The scene where Joker stands in the middle of the street and doesn't budge as the Batpod approaches is similar to when Joker did the same with Keaton in the Batwing. I don't see how the former parodies the latter, though.

  I think Daniel Day-Lewis would also have been a great choice to portray 'The Joker', but Im glad Heath was all he could in this film since his performance won him an Acadamy Award.

  I m glad Christian Bale didn't comment or dwell in the correlation of Ledger's death and the role of the joker. That actually trivializes his performance. Great job and RIP

  Such a great actor, and clearly such a great guy. The comments made by his fellow actors and Christopher Nolan are a testament to his character, and the type of person he was.
