  If anything it's definitely the latter. I'm not so sure it's saying "Relationships are evil," but it definitely doesn't have a happy ending.

  Question for the Spill Crew or anyone that has seen this...

   

  My live in girlfriend and I are in a rough patch and it is about to come down to the "stay or go" talk. Do you think this movie would sway us in one direction or the other? Is it a "Love is hard but worth it so hang in there" movie or "Relationships are evil and you need to move on and be happy" movie?

  My God, you're right. This does sound exactly like Revolutionary Road, minus DiCaprio and Winslet. Although I'm pretty sure they gave Revolutionary Road a higher rating (correct me if I'm wrong). I loved that movie, anyway, so maybe I'll go see this at a matinee.

  I love that you guys laid out how your rating system works. I'm sure there are some people that STILL view it as a star/grade/number system when that isn't always the case (A unanimous "F You" probably does mean a movie sucks). What I really enjoy about spill besides the humor is that you've got 5 guys with very different tastes in cinema that talk about a film in question. They don't just talk about the plot for 4 minutes and give a star rating but they go in depth on exactly what they liked and disliked about a movie and based on that, the viewer/listener can match that up with their personal taste to decide if it's something they'd be interested in. I mean, you'd think a 25+ minute discussion would make that a bit more transparent but perhaps not... There are some films reviewed that some of you didn't like but based on my personal taste in cinema, I knew it would be something I'd enjoy, so in that aspect, the review would be a complete success. I haven't seen Blue Valentine yet but based on what I know and have seen, it's EXACTLY the type of film I'd have near the top of my Netflix queue. Great review.

  Great review but i respectfully disagree. I think this is one of the best movies of the year and highly recommend it. Looking forward to the Rabbit Hole review.
