This movie is as silly as you can imagine, but still a good deal of fun. I was entertained all the way through with this one. I know I might get a lot of WTFs for saying this, but I rented both this and the new True Grit from RedBox last night and I actually enjoyed this one more and I'm way past my teen years.

I saw this movie yesterday and it really blow my mind. i fell like i saw a differnet movie then some other people because i thought this was a amazing movie. I thought it be just a stupid romantic film with some action but it wasn't. the movie builds up to the action and when it comes it's awesome. The only bad thing i have to say about the movie is the girl he likes Sarah (i think her name is) she's good in the begining, but later on she just stupid and annoying. That one bad part of the movie didn't really annoying me. Plus the acting is really good the girl who plays number six is just amazing! So I'm saying this movie is a Better then Sex!! and it deserves a sequel

I'd give this a low full price. as in this movie was running in a sprint and fell down right before the line but still got a finger across it. It had some elements of a thriller, the shock scares, some high school drama, some sci-fi drama and the last 20 minutes or so were fantastic. wou;dn't pay full price again, but I'd rent the DVD.

I'm actually with the Co-Host on this one. This is a rental. It's only good for the last five to ten minutes, so this isn't a movie you go see in the theaters. This is a movie you rent, then nag your friend with a big screen TV to let you come over and watch on it.

Or wait for the fight scene to show up on Youtube and sit really close to your monitor. Either way works.

This is actually a book turned into a movie of the same title, and the book blurb that I read about it started with a like that went kind of like this. "If you like the Twilight Saga..." pause Twilight isn't even good your telling me there is a watered down version of it. This is a fuck you isn't it, but then I read the book and I really liked it, it was good and i'm looking forward to the sequel The Power of Six and the other four books to come. But lets face it this is another attempt by Studios to try to find another successful young adult book turned to movie franchise. I'm not going to watch this, because if I do I am going to end up hating the book.

The Black Co-Host: I fully agree with you about "SyFy", however it would make sense that people would use that name because of that freakin' tv station that I love and hate at the same time.

Dawson's Creek + Elements of Superhero Films = This Movie.

Mythic, "SyFy" is not an acceptable abbreviation for science fiction.  Stop that.

hahah cool review but i must say the effects seems pretty crap. when his hand is glowing it seems like u could do it in after effects

This is bullshit. You know that if your hands did somehow glow you would actually consider it a super power. It's not a very good one, but if you could do it, you'd think you were a hero.  Just saying.

    Rental

The plot in this movie was a simple copy and paste form many over SyFy/Fantasy films of all of wich did it better. The main problem with this film is the love plot, ok in the book it probly fit in better but in this movie it keeps being crowbarred back in and it just bugging me and around the halfway mark though the movie i just got board and started to write down all the other movie references i saw. Ok the action scences in this movie are some what decent for a movie with a buget of 50 million.

Overall this movie isn't to original and ive seen better, this film is better than a straight to tv movie but it dosen't deserve to be on the big screen

hmm I thought this movie looked like shit, and the title annoyed the crap out of me when ever I saw the trailer.

But I guess I'll check it out at the dollar movies...

I saw the midnight show and I have to say that the guys who scripted the action sequences did it the right way! They delivered action scenes deserving of characters with superhuman abilities. The pacing and energy was great and the camera angles were far back enough that you could actually see what was happening. Tron and countless other superhero movies out there should take note.

As for the rest of the movie, nothing special at all. It's honestly what the rental rating is about. But the handful of action sequences are done very well.

Goddamn, this guy looks like an Ian Churchill drawing! Or maybe Ryan Benjamin back in the late 90s.

I'll probably end up seeing this in the theater (before noon for $6.00 though!) based on this review, you know that right?

They might as well have called this "I Am A Pretty White Person!"  That's the only appeal to CW-esque movies like this.
