Well, I finally got around to watching this movie and, as expected, Fichtner was the best thing in the whole movie. Indeed, he was the only good thing in the movie. Then again, it's William Fichtner. Who'd expect less?

Nicolas Cage should play the Joker on the next Batman flick.

Nicholson did his thing, Ledger did an amazing version yet Cage is the one who looks the most like the character from the comic books.  If he did his Bad Lieutenant thing sporting a green hair - that would be just perfect.

Love the guy though.(Even if the quality of his films have gone down these days: Bad Lieutenant was Ok, but this is the guy who did Raising Arizona, Leaving Las Vegas, Wind Talkers among others).

Last Year was such a great year for Nicholas Cage, Kick-Ass was a fantastic film and the Sorcerers Apprentice while not being great had a very good performance by Cage. And just like that we get the usual crap from him again.

Mark, if you had seen this in 3D you prob would have given it a regular full price. Or maybe even a high full price seeing as how the 3D really makes key scenes work all the better.

Now did you all really think you were going to get an Oscar contender here?? This movie was fun, fast, and bloody. And Nick Cage did what he does best, entertained!! If you don't like action, then go watch Brokeback Mountain 2 or something. Just quit complaining, because this is a "what you see is what you get" kind of a movie. With that said, I have to rate this movie a MATINEE, reason being, I'll eat a big bowl of shrimp fried rice and maybe see it again. I enjoyed the action, the butt-naked woman, and the cheesy gunfights with the 3D I got for free and that's the bottom line cause The Wolfman said so!!!

Perfect example of a fun action movie that should have been released in the summer.  This is a real rated R bad ass/cool revenge movie that cuts no slack.  Nic cage was at his over the top best and delivers his lines with a level of cool only he can do.  The "Accountant" is not the devil but an agent of the devil.

Just got back from seeing it at matinee....VERY VERY fun, even w/ how awful it was.

I was surprised I didnt hate it for some of the dumbest scenes in years...but since the rest of it heavily makes up for it. I'll definitely give it a low full price, because if i paid the extra few dollars on the 3D, i wouldnt have felt robbed.

    Very Good Bad Movie.

Bah....I am so Nicholas Cage'd out already...

You all complain about Michael Cera playing the same role in all his movies....how long as Cage being doing the same "I'm a bad actor in a bad movie? wink wink nudge nudge*" shtick?  He musta had too much fun on the Grindhouse set, because for the life of him he just refuses to do anything else. Hell while I mention Cera, Kickass was the Scott Pilgrim for Cage; he was a BIT more livelier in that movie thanks to the script, but in essence you could argue that he was still playing Nic Cage.

It annoys me with him because of what the crew mentioned right at the beginning of the review: He CAN act in interesting versatile roles, but he simply chooses not to.

this movie looked entertaining no matter what.

because it looked like a bad movie made into an action fueled comedy...and since it WAS shot in 3D, I was curious what it would be like w/ all that action and blood.

and now that my hopes for it sound pretty fair w/ you guys...its a must see for me. prob see it matinee on sunday if not tomorrow.

I agree Marcus McGill. I was going to mention it but if you like seeing classic cars on film then the '69 Charger and SS Chevelle are frickin nice in this movie!! And Burk did do a good job too.
