  It's essentially Redwall....with guns. Excellent film.

  His ability as an actor has nothing to do with it. You can take any actor or actress and oversaturate him or her to the point of severe annoyance on the part of the audience. And that's exactly what's happened with Depp.

  ArmedVegan, why would Johnny Depp turn you off of a movie? Goddammit people, he is one of the best actors living today. Anyone who thinks that he is just a one trick pony is just flat out wrong. Ignore the recent Tim Burton shit, because you are missing out on some great movies.

  Back on topic though, great review, though I cringed when Cyrus mentioned lolcats.

  Man, I will have to check this out.  What a nice surprise to have a good film even if a little trippy.  The trailer and Johny Depp turned me off but y'all got me convinced on its creativity/intelligent references.  Thanks for posting!

  Wow.  The commercials looked terrible.  I wasn't expecting anything but a 90 minute bore with a Burger King cross-promotion.
