    I saw this opening weekend,and was sooo dissapointed with it!Almost like either a Twilight sequel or spinoff.Basically Twilight meets Underworld.The first letdown I've seen this year.And I hate to say it,but I really have to give this Some Ol' Bulls**t.Sorry Red,you did have good intentions,though!

    Being a fan of the Neil Jordan film "The Company of Wolves," hearing about this project made me legitimately sad.

    I forgot to mention this in my last post:

    It's funny you guys mention Humpty Dumpty, 'cause there's actually a B-horror movie called "Humpty Dumpty" being made: http://www.upcominghorrormovies.com/movie/humpty-dumpty

    Dreadful, dreadful movie. 75% of it was taken straight from Twilight and the other 25% was the original tale. Honestly, the biggest problem with this movie is the story; it is so incredibly weak that everything else suffers from it. Gary Oldman and Amanda Seyfried were the only decent actors in this movie 'cause everyone else was terrible.

    I think you guys nailed everything in this review, I have nothing else to add.

    And to Nomad, this movie is catered towards that same audience, and watching the film, it shares so many elements with Twilight, so making a comparison between these two isn't so farfetched.

    @Nomad

    There's nothing wrong with romance in film, but when you do it as ineptly as this, it kind of loses its charm for most people. Except for some teens, who can't tell the difference.

    Thanks for your concern for my keyboard. It is fine. Now before you decide to comment on something you deemed worthy enough to read and comment on. Make sure to realize how stupid you'll sound commenting on something you thought was shit and then shut up. I'm sure your keyboard is pretty exhausted from your stupidity as I am. Hopefully this response was long enough for you.

    @ John Henry  Eden v2.0

    I have seen them and as I said its meant for the romantic following crowd. Or teens. An audience that has been around long before freaking Twilight.

    I was in Barnes and Noble today flipping through comics and as you walk in and out you can not help but notice the tons of Vampire and Werewolf books.  It's freaking disgusting!!!  Who is reading these books?  And how does a cool actor like Gary Oldman get mixed up in a piece of crap like this?

    Sounds like this coulda been The Thing with werewolves, but it looks like the ony alien mutant here is a twilight franchise, and now you gotta spend the rest of the winter tied to this fucking seat

    @Nomad, Here's some advice, before you decide to say ANYTHING please greatly consider the large amount of bullshit you already spewed from your keyboard. Poor keyboard :(

    @Nomad

    Have you seen Beastly and Red Riding Hood? Then you'd know that they are in the exact same vein as Twilight, made with the exact same audience in mind.

    All of you Spill Guys have to take a step back with the comparing everything you see to Twilight. We all know twilight is bad. This movie probably isn't any good and Beastly was comical and bad. BUT do you have to bring up Twilight and its fan base every time. Can't a movie be made because IDK someone thought fairy tales/teen romances have been something that has been the plotline for a century of movies/books so they said what the heck lets give it a try. Not because its looking to be a new twilight.You guys have an obsession with twilight its time you got over your trauma of watching those horrible movies and not mention it anymore in association with anymore movies. It will be hard but I have faith that you guys can overcome your Twilight obsession. Till of course their final movie comes out which will probably be some ol bullshit again and send you all back into shock. In the meantime KNOCK IT OFF ALREADY!

    Two things

    1) As for the magic, Co-host 3000, I say,"Burn!  Burn the witch!"

    2) As for Cyrus speaking the gospel about the Twilight marketing machine I am just reminded of being introduced to Darren Shan's Demonata series at the library, going to look for it at my local big box book store, and finding where else but a wall of this Twilight drivel.  And yes, yes it had one of those cancerous 'Twilight Book Club' stickers.  *Face-palm*

    I wonder if this wave of bad Twilight ripoffs counts as one of the signs of the apocalypse leading up to 2012.

    but then again, since this movie goes into Twilight territory, i wouldnt like that. Because I hate the twilight series so much it only appeals to all them sex-crazy women who like seeing them shitty acting guys and fight over them 24/7. It gives me a headache so much.

    I like Amanda Seyfried on Big Love. She has some good quality in some of her movies. I liked her in Alpha Dog, then in Jennifer's Body, I mean, yeah, she's kind of always been typecast as the love interest for someone, but, she does have good charisma in some of her work. So, if I was to go see this movie, i think i'd probably see it as a matinee' or something.

    i bought the book wich i thought the movie was based of but its the other way around also they make you go online for the last chapter and you have to wait for the movie to come out befor you can read it the book was bullshit anyways so iam not gonna see the movie

    The trailer made me think this has great potential to be a study on levels of governmental control... and then it said "from the director of twilight." I love those movies, but not for their social commentary.

    Angela Carter. It's not an unfamiliar concept. I was hoping this wasn't going to be the Twilight-ripoff it read as. Oh, well.
