I saw this movie while I was on vacation in Orlando Florida.

I liked Mel Gibson's acting proformance in this movie but overall The Beaver was an okay movie.

    I give it 3 out 5 stars.

Honestly, I've never had a problem separating Mel Gibson's acting from his personal life.

Charlie Sheen stole his thunder. People are starting to forget about Mel's bullshit so they're finally putting this out after they shot it two years ago...

my question did you go see this instead of Attack the Block? Those were screening at the same time. As much as I like Jodie Foster I'd rather see a hip movie from England then this (I imagine) tripe.

seems like this movie should have been more a comedy than a drama personally

this is Mel's stepping stone back into the limelight again and  i think he's going in the right direction.

as for the review in here. i agree. it coulda been longer and told slightly better.

i think though that your opinion of Mel has clouded  your view.

by the way. love your reviews. i always look forward to them. thanks

Mel Gibson is a despicable person, but I admit that I'm really interested in this film. I might rent it when it comes out.

I really want to watch this movie.  Mel, given all of his f*&k-ups and amazingly bad life decisions, is a very competent actor.  I am kinda glad to hear that their isn't some wholesome unrealistic ending, too.

I thought that at least it was an original idea for a movie, but then it ripped off Evil Dead 2.  For shame!

Is there a pocket in the back end of that beaver for the bottle of Jack that Mel is drinking?

Land Rollins, Korey and co. did say that they try to rate this movie based on merit, not on what its stars do in real life :P

I would like to see it in a way that in no way supports Mel Gibson (ie: illegal download)

Great review... Though I wonder, would you guys have been as hard on the film if it had a lead other than Mel Gibson? Not saying that's what happened, but at times it seemed like your opinions of Mel Gibson as a person jaded your view as the character Mel was portraying.

    Just a thought.
