  my sis has the books and the first movie and i've been thinking of buying this for her b-day when it's on dvd i can't stand the first movie i'm not seeing this but i'll admit the trailer got a chuckle out of me. but yea sis is a fan so she'd like this me maybe a chuckle or two but prediction rating ether a low rental or just a rental.

  I like these movies. I even have the first one on DVD. I had the same feelings for this movie as I did for the last one, which is a matinee. There are the people that love it *the kids* , the people that like it *some teens, some kids, some adults*, and the people that hate it *mostly adults*. I'm the one that likes it, but I am going to get this one on DVD. Obviously since they did great on Box Office, there will be a 3rd movie, and I'll be happy to watch that movie to.

  Cyrus and CoHost was too hard on this film, sure the first film was mediocre and I'm sure the second one will be the same but like chris brown said its suppose to be the IT'S ALWAYS SUNNY IN PHILADELPHIA or SEINFELD for kids. I'm sorry but I don't think any of you guys would complain about a moral for any of those shows I mentioned:

  These books and films are suppose to be about random events and not having a moral at all. To me Greg is the small human version of Daffy Duck. If you think about it really hard, if you seen any of the Daffy Duck/Porky Pig cartoons the Diary movies are basically the same as those cartoons...only done better:

  

  I think if the Diary movies had a better director and screenwriter the films could've been the Preston Sturges for kids because judging from the books they are cynical, humorous, and fast pace. And sometimes the way Greg talks about life in middle school is no different from John Sullivan from Sullivan's Travels talking about his ups and downs in California as a rich man and a poor man.
