    I am the person who would say, "Hey did you see that Russell Brand movie?" He is one note, but so far he hasn't worn out his welcome for me.

    This was a very good movie.  A faithful remake? Not entirely.  But this is certainly what a spoiled rotten overgrown wealthy man/child would be like today.  I was scared about Russel Brand being in this, but it worked for me.

    My one question is this, why? Why remake Arthur? Were people really just clamoring for another Arthur movie, let alone a remake?

    Reason for the Darth Vadar reference is Warners owns "Clone Wars" with Anakin aka Darth Character...so still Warners is milking it. Surprise they're not releasing "Greatest Moive Ever Sold"...oh I forgot those other f*kin leeches Sony Pics is releasing it...

    Branding: the movie. Starring Russel Brand?

    @Duke

    Aldous Snow is a funny character. Forgetting Sarah Marshell showed that. The problem is writers suck, studios are lazy, and Brand takes the money to play the same character over and over. He might have more range, but we'll never know. I don't feel sorry for him, because 15 minutes of fame in Hollywood has made him millions.

    I normally agree with you guys about many movies. I haven't seen Arthur yet, and I'm not sure if I want to, but I think you guys are completely underselling Russell Brand as a comedy actor. He was great in Forgetting Sarah Marshell, and I really enjoyed the comedy and music in Get Him To The Greek, he even managed to get very dark in the final 30 minutes of that film, I can't even begin to try and explain how difficult that is to pull off. But I would like to see Russell Brand begin to branch out as an actor a little bit, but he's been successful with his character in all the movies I've seen him in.

    I can take Rusell Brand in small doses. I can take snippets from his stand-up or guest appearing on tv shows but thats about ir. I can't imagine a WHOLE movie with him. I hated Get Him to the Greek and really don't know what people saw in it. It was a C rate comedy at best. As far as him being married to Katy Perry, Ugh I hate Katy Perry. I hate her for setting feminism back 10 years. I hate the fact that she can't sing for shit and she lacks any real song writing skills.

    I have never seen the original Aurthur but I will most def. check it out now and stay away from this flaming turd.

    Russell Brand used to be funny, likeable, and quite clever. Then we did get rid of him to the USA. No need to thank us!

    Well since Co-Host got me curious, I looked up Russell Brand on Wikipedia and now I feel sheepish about my earlier crack. Although still, it may not be such a bad idea. Russell Brand is exactly the kind of person the world loves. A drone, a broken person, a stingless male bee. He's one of the examples that: if you just shut up and let the world fuck you, you'll get to marry another similar drone to you, and you'll make drone babies and populate the world. The world will make it's drones: skinny, articulate, rich and famous, of course it'll also make them insufferable. Oh well... what are you gonna do?

    I woke up from a dream once resisting this "calling" myself, and the last thing the world brought to my attention was Hunter S. Thompson (Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas). I was a little curious and looked him up, and all I found was just another substance abuser that the world loved... Then Pine Apple Express "came to mind" (which I hadn't seen) and I just "tuned the world out..." The world loves it's "coke heads." I feel sorry for these people; that they never got to be free.

    In the end, if you keep accepting gifts from the world you run the risk of becoming ineffectual, irrelevant, and stingless, kinda like Oprah.

    Guys, as for doing the same thing over and over and over in films...can you blame the guy? The majority is entertained enough to buy into it and still think its funny and he's getting another pay day so his gorgeous ass wife won't leave his goofy ass. I'd do that shit too
