better than I expected.  Didn't like the intro scenes as much as most people did but the last 30 mins was great.

Interestingly enough, Hayden Panettiere was the voice of Dot in A Bug's Life way back when. She's also the voice of Kairi in the Kingdom Hearts video games. I like her a lot... I wish she would get more prominent roles.

I give it a rental. It's very much a "been there, seen that" kind of movie. No one in the audience I saw the movie with screamed. Not once.

I watch the movie and i would say a high matinee they did a good job of keeping you guessing on who was the killer for most of the movie

I had fun, but it was missing something. I wrote about in detail what that something was here http://whatdidijustwatch.blogspot.com/2011/04/scream-4-review-dont-fuk-with-original.html

Went out to see it on a matinee and was well worth seeing it with an audience to hear their reactions. It was a very good addition to the franchise and made me remember why I liked the first Scream so much a High matinee in my books.

    @Captain Talon

'Meta' refers to self-referential jokesjokes about jokes (also known as metahumor), and joke templates

    for example:

     * A Priest, a Rabbi and a Leprechaun walk into a bar. The Leprechaun looks around and says, "Saints preserve us! I'm in the wrong joke!"

    * An Englishman, an Irishman and a Scotsman walk into a bar. The bartender turns to them, takes one look, and says "What is this - some kind of joke?"

    * A dyslexic man walks into a bra.

And.. well, enough with the bad jokes. I'm sure you get the point...

Great review....but just to correct a statement about one of the "stupid kills". well..it WAS still stupid..but the reason why the woman didnt drive away was because she noticed her hood was slightly open and then ghostface jumps down on it (and is holding something besides the knife from the car, wires or something)...so he obviously sabatoged the car....BUT it was still stupid because she could have CALLED the police from her car lol.

I mean she was in a Hospital parking lot, im sure some cops around there would rush to the parking lot.

still a good review and a surprisingly fun movie.

This is the 2nd best Scream movie (next to 1 of course)...well, I did actually have a fun time w/ Scream 2...Honestly, it feels like a series i hated, but i think its only because of the 3rd one, so im glad they did decide to make it right this time.

I just came back, and thought it was pretty damn good. very funny at times, and you find a bunch of characters sketchy. I wasn't even going for the deaths...and although they weren't filmed the greatest...they were actually pretty good.

lets just say one "head stab" is pretty fuckin' brutal.

Did anybody else ID the killers early like I did? It's always the ones that they lead you away from. Good movie though.

this movie was alright, i'd give it a matinee, but i don't think it was anything special. Out of the new characters I think that Hayden Panatierre's was by far the best. It kept you guessing as to who the killer was, though there was one that they kept trying to push on you which made it obvious that it wasn't going to be that person.

Hey Soll trail, the theatre I was in was also packed (in Canada). If you want to see another one the chances are good because from what I am reading and hearing theatres everwhere were packed opening night. We have to see how the weekend plays out but this movie is set to do well at the box office.

Yes her car would not start and yes she could not drive away. However, why would you get out of the car after seeing and knowing that the killer is outside your car? The only real reason is the character is just dumb and even if the character is dumb it irriated me that she got out of car.
