yeah crazypants. its been explained to death. just hit up backlogs of ACOCO and lets do this for the past six months and you will have more than enough explanation :D

@Crazypants - Carlyle is only doing ACOCO for Spill.com. He has a literal PLETHORA of work for various other sites out there if you want to hear his opinion on things. He works for Film.com, Hollywood.com, aintitcoolnews, in addition to his weekly podcast appearance on Spill.

Another Looney Tunes cartoon this kinda rips off is 8 Ball Bunny, when Bugs has to return a little penguin to the South Pole. Bugs was like the Robert Downey Jr character and the penguin was like a non-idiotic version of the Zach Galafianakis character.

Yes. Mr. Carlyle has been abducted by aliens and is currently being subjected to watching Bratz over and over and over again. Just kidding, he's just been doing ACOCO now because he's so busy with Film.com, presumably.

Has it been explained why Carlyle is no longer doing movie reviews?

Eh, I don't quite understand how people can hate it from the unrealistic elements. It's a movie, it's supposed to fun and over the top. Matinee.

I think this movie tried to follow Trains Planes and Automobles in terms of comedy and plot, but ultimately it failed to capture the heart and warmth of Steve Martin and John Candy. By the end of their trials and tribulations, you could believe they were good friends, and the hellish journey would not overcome them. Not so much with Due Date.

Even though he looks different, Joacquin Phoenix is still a great actor. Or is it Val Kilmer?

I do have to first note that comedies are difficult because not everyone will find the same things funny. So with that said first of all no one no matter how smart they are who is in a rush to get home to see the birth of their first child, who had been put on a no fly list and lost their wallet it going to be thinking clearly. Zack Galafinakis character was an solution that was right in front of him in a moment where the only thing that mattered was getting home. In attempts to get away gives in because honestly I think Robert Downey Jr's character has a conscious and due to circumstance just wont let him do it. Maybe he just feels bad for the idiot. As well he does indeed progressively begin to like the man though if you were think about it...They get in the car crash and after wards would be the moments were he begins to like him. And yet no one thought about how he was doped up on pain medication. Clearly if i were popping a bunch of pain meds I'd probably start to like the idiot manchild who was bent on ruining my life as well lol. And as far as being unrealistic it's a comedy it doesn't have to be realistic just stop caring about realistic and start thinking "That'd be awesome if I could really get away with that." I enjoyed it, I'm not a fan of the over the top manchild role in any movie but as a whole I kept a smile throughout, and in the end thought it was kinda cute. I do have to add though the funniest parts were not what was in the tailor for me. Maybe my sense of humor just varies from most...ofcourse I do think the hang over was extremely over rated ;)

I really did enjoy this movie! Yeah, some of the characters are unrealistic, but I think it's all in fun and in making a funny story that you hope to god never happens to you. I give it a high matinee!

I'd pass on this one, but can't wait for Hangover Two!

Completely unrealistic, some scenes were just there to gross people out, but still had fun. Definitely a matinee.

Full price? I was high and still only chuckled a few times. I give this a rental for the few and far between laughs. It had a good soundtrack and that's about it.

This movie is definitely full price. It's stupid to complain about The Planes, Trains, and Automobiles similarities. That was obvious from the trailer. If you got into the movie and then realized the similarities, you're a little slow. Also, the funniest parts were definitely not in the trailer. I mean, no boxing movie is ever going to be rocky, but i still go an watch and enjoy them in theaters.

Well, I rewatched Planes, Trains and Automobiles once more, and my opinion of this movie has consequently dropped somewhat. While Due Date might be just as funny, Planes, Trains and Automobiles is just a masterpiece. And as funny as I think Zach Galifiniakis is, he's no John Candy.

@Minimejer05 I agree. I think Zach Galafianakis is one of the most mediocre comedians/actors out there. I hate that he's suddenly in so many films and plays the exact same character in every one of them.
