  And while this was a disappointment people, remember that no one is perfect. In 25 years, Pixar has done quite a bit for the animation world and has redefined what a family film should be. With a long track record of great films, you're bound to have one ugly duckling. Okay the duckling here is uglier than all-get-out, but still. Any idiots who say that Pixar is done because of one shitty movie, need to rethink who they are talking about. We all fuck up and we all move on, with any luck, Pixar will learn from this mistake and move forward with their next project without looking back at Cars 2, the ugliest runt who was ever miscarried

  Ugh, had to give it a rental. It's by no means a bad film, but the heart and soul of a Pixar movie was really lacking here. I got a bunch more heartfelt emotion out of Kung Fu Panda 2...a fucking Jack Black movie I remind you all. While Cars 2 was pretty to look at it, the only people that could enjoy it would be kids and that's debatable. In my theater, those little fuckers were bouncing up and down and laughing at all the mediocre trailers. During the Toy Story short, they were still laughing. During the movie itself?   People coming off of Toy Story 3 expecting something awesome from Cars 2 expect way too much out of Pixar.

  It's 'Cars'!! The first one never wowed me and this one certainly wasn't going to win me over either.

  I also saw the teaser for 'Brave': it looks pretty good and visually stunning. But can it tell a good story and maintain that Pixar charm without relying heavily on 'How To Train Your Dragon' style film making? I'll just have to see.

  I'm pretty sure the 3D will be good since the movie is all CG. Kung Fu Panda 2 worked great in 3D I can't see why Pixar can't achieve the same quality with this movie.

  I'm sure part of the reason Pixar made a sequel to cars was because it sells a ton of merchandise, especially compared to the other Pixar films. I was in Target and in they had a crazy amount of car toys in the toy section. Cars is considered to be the most "toyetic" Pixar film. Maybe that's changed after Toy Story 3, but even last summer I don't remember seeing that many Toy Story toys. 

   

  I'm sad that Pixar has made it's first flop, but part of me is a little happy that maybe now Kung Fu Panda 2 will win the Best Animated Picture Oscar. I hope it also gets a Best Picture nomination too. It seems like everybody I talk to about Kung Fu Panda 2 doesn't want to see it because it's Dreamworks. I had to drag my friend to see it with me a few weeks ago, and she ended up loving it. Skip Cars 2 and go see Kung Fu Panda 2 if you haven't already!

  I didn't realize they actually reviewed those movies in 3D, The last movie i saw in 3D was piranha 3D which worked for that movie since i still see 3D as a gimmick and nothing more.

  I noticed in the review some felt Cars 2 was too long. That is just a symptom of Pixar movies in general. All Pixar movies have scenes that contribute very little to the plot and could've been shortened.

  Unlike many people, I don't get so involved in Pixar movies that I lose track of time. I first noticed this trend in the Incredibles where there is a very long action sequences where Dash runs on water. It was visually impressive but seemed to drag on for a long time. I suspect Pixar couldn't bear to shorten this sequences after spending so much time and effort on it.

   

  This problem is simply easier to spot against the weak plot of Cars 2.

  How many 3D movies have they reviewed?   it could be that they can't see the 3D which is why they don't review it in 3D, I could be wrong but I do know that depending on what study you go by 12% or 1 in 10 people can't see 3D.

  I'm just curious because i can't think of any reviews they have done that were on movies in 3D.

   

  On a side note, this doesn't surprise me that this movie is the weakest Pixar movie does that mean it's the worst movie?  highly unlikely it does mean that Pixar has finally made a sequel to there weakest movie.

  The Incredibles & Ratatouille carried their own heart, and were imaginative. They made sense in their own kind of reality. And the characters were all likable. Even the villains, in a way. 
  But with Cars & Cars 2, the imagination is there, but the reality they're grounded in has so many flaws, so instead Pixar said "Fuck it" and decided to place a parade of car puns to push us away from noticing said flaws. Pixar has had such an incredible track record with their films, made with the look of something to interest children, but has the quality of something that absolutely anyone can grasp. Each film has a special human feeling to it, that we all enjoy. And with Cars 2, it seems they didn't give two shits about audiences beyond brainless kids without a developed sense of humor.
