@Badassknives: you really need to learn your history, woman served throughout the military during WWII. They were not allowed to see combat so many of them stayed on military bases, far from the front lines. but they were over in Europe and the pacific.

And as far as the Japanese thing, there were thousands of Japanese Americans who served during WWII, Sadao Munemori was actually awarded the medal of honor during WWII. On top of that; there were over 300 Japanese women serving during WWII in the WAC "Women's Army Corp". . The only guideline for service was that they had to serve in Europe, no Japanese American soldiers served in the pacific.

@ electricKnight:    Joss wrote an early draft of Alien: Resurrection, but he's said many times that they pretty much massacred his script and changed the whole thing. So yeah he's credited but he wasn't the one who wrote what appeared on the screen

If anyone has doubts about Whedon, and if you like the sci-fi genre in the least bit, rent Firefly, the tv show, and the movie Serenity if you haven't seen them.  Whedon does very well with a large cast and develops each character.

To be honest most sc-fi/fantasy/comic/move/genre fans, pretty much fandom in general, love Joss Whedon, you'll be hard pressed to find Whedon haters anywhere!

I just got home. I cant believe Marvel finally got that right. It is actually worth watching. I told my friends I had more hope for watchmen when it came out but this just blew me away. I was having nerdgasms left and right.

Also, it's good to see the United States get a little patriotism instead of just criticism

Wow! I went to the midnight showing of Captain America and it was AMAZING! I highly recommend that everyone sees it! It is definitely up there with the first Iron Man, Nolan's Batman movies and Spider Man 2! I simply can not rave about this movie enough! I'll be seeing it again!

@John Henry Eden v2.0 Yes, we vote them into power but they hardly ever do what we expect them to do. Even if we replace them the new one falls into the same trap.

Captain Obvious to the rescue! Guess who votes said politicians into power?

@Ash OK please stop saying US when you talk about what's wrong in America. It is THEM the politicians who have wronged US and part of the world. It is not the citizens.

@OliverGuy12 Their were women in the military but they were mainly working in factories making the weapons and machines for the military because most of the country's men went off to battle. As far as Japanese, yeah it's kinda off because as I remember from school the Japanese Americans were held in camps for investigation. So yeah, that makes no sense. I think it is Hollywood being politically correct again.

Captain America is still a good guy because he was frozen during WWII, and basically slept through 70 years of US foreign policy which turned us from heroes to the joke of the world.

Love JP2 but yeah JP3 is better than TLW. After how awesome Thor was I can't WAIT to see Cap!

I have to say, it makes me sad that so many people have such little patriotism for America. I can understand if you live in a different country, but there are so many people who are now growing up in America and think we are the bad guy. They learn in school about all the bad things and none of the good. Captain America stands for everything that is right about this country. Someone who came from nothing but would not give up. That is the American dream...

Anyway, I can not wait to see this movie. It looks freaking awesome and I have faith it will deliver...

No one ever mentions that horrible horrible Flash movie when they mention bad comic book movies.

Very good target for drunken MST3K session.

meh it was ok, saw it last night. i will say chris evens was nice as captain america, totally changed my mind about him but the dialog sucks. but they did the best with what they had and on chris part he did good. tommy lee jones is good too but no explanation of characters within caps group, i didn't knwo who they were they're just there who are they? some of the action scenes were ok they go by as if they're flashbacks which i hated and some scenes witht eh fights there was no contact with faces at all. but they did the best they could and put lots and lots of nods to the upcoming avengers film but no avengers trailer, they took that out b/c of the leak.

How are they going to convince people who aren't American to give a damn about this film when even Americans can't be bothered to go see it XD
