Just watched the Rise of the Planet of the Apes and as much as i agree with you guys bout how awesome this movie is, i  totally disagree with you bout the "famous line" being just a cheap reference, because as much as in the original movie (spoiler) line was a really great moment because it was a total shock to the Apes in the movies that this human can talk, and in the remake they did a similar thing with shocking the audience with the first line spoken by Ceasear following Malfoys "Get your paws of me youre damn, dirty ape" , this scene works THAT much more for the people that actually Get the reference and even for people who dont remember it or just never saw it its still pretty kick-ass ;) .

Overall, for me its a "Better than Sex" movie because next to "Limitless" and "The Dark Knight" its one of the few "I cant belive how good this is" movies.

This movie is awesome. Though, as much as I've heard praise for the effects, from the VERY FIRST SHOT it was painfully obvious every single ape was CGI. Personally I've never understood why WETA is so highly thought of. They do CRAP effects. Every single frame they do stinks of CGI. LOTR effects were okay for the most parts, but too often they just looked too computerish. King Kong looked bloody awful, especially the dino stampede.

To this day, the best CGI creatures I've seen are the dinosaurs in all three Jurassic Park movies.

Finally saw it. Very good movie. It did get like Shawshank for a while there. The Orangutan was Morgan Freeman's Red character. Hell, his fur was red.

I just wish some people could keep their mouth shut about..................SPOILER...................the moment that Caesar speaks. Hearing so much about it beforehand kinda ruined the moment for me. I LOVE you Spill but even you guys couldn't help yourselves a bit on LDT. Seeing the expression on my girlfriends face when it happened made me pretty envious of not going in cold.

Did anyone see how Ceaser was building a statue of liberty 3d puzzle.  I think that was a ref to the first movie.

This was one of the best movies i've seen this summer.  I'm very surprised about how good this movie is.  High Full Price for me.

Just got back from the theater. Definitely FULL PRICE. The little references from the original, there were several sprinkled thou out the movie, including the big cahoona line. made me smile or chuckle.

All in all I really enjoyed it more than I expected to from the Trailer that is.

It was Co Host's revue that compelled me to see it,and I'm happy to say I wasn't disappointed.

So are they remaking all the Planet of the Apes movies? I know they already did one of these.

Overall, after seeing the trailers, I wasn't sure if I wanted to see this film. The Apes seemed so real(the soul in the eyes). I was afraid I might have nightmares. But I decided to see it anyway and boy am I glad I did. The realness of the apes makes for the story. Their human qualites draw you in and make you feel for them. You find yourself cheering for the apes. Probably the best adaptation to date. This felt more real than Tim Burton's adaptation of 2001. Technology can be so amazing. The visuals of this movie alone are enough to go see this movie. See Hollywood, NO fake 3D needed. Just an honest story that makes us believe. Bravo to Rupert Wyatt and all who worked on these film, no question, this is a FULL PRICE rating, and that's the bottom line cause The Wolfman said so!!!

Kory is now officially - "Captain Nip-Pick"
The famous lines from the original movies were perfectly put into the movie

Nip-Picking gets annoying if the movie is a Matinee or better.

The characters developed perfectly and with ease

The final attack kept with the theme of Conquest of the Apes where Ceasar doesn't turn into a blood thirsty Ape

Which could be because they didn't want a R rating for Conquest of the Apes.

I love how the Ape's couldn't talk right away and used Sign Language to communicate.

I love a smart movie and it wasn't the apes that destroyed the humans it was the virus which makes sense considering the virus makes all the apes in the world smart and  it devastates the human population.  It could also be argued that the survivors could arguably loose their voice because of the side effect of surviving the plague.

Boy did i have some long violent attack planned out for both  cyrus an K kool man, but i am just to llaazzzy. dont have the rage in me at the moment.

movie was ultra turbo amazing, the big "line" in the movie that links it to the others does feel crowbarred into that scene, defiantly should NOT put an in joke seconds before what i thought was the most important part of the movie.

im sure cyrus and about 200 people thought the effects where just that, and didn't buy the movie magic of them being monkeys.but me being a regular ol joe, who doesn't have yo vast knowledge of movies an how to spot CG, i bought it 1200% the problem ,sense your looking for a reason to argue this against your childhood love of the originals, is that its TO good of a movie just like you said at the start of the review Cyrus. Caesar from birth to teen to adult is the main man of the film
this here is a Sci fi drama, an the transformer crowd is just going to "Meh" about it.

on a side note about co host 3000, i think he was raised to really admire people he likes an respects. so he gives the a formal flair to thier name. James DE franco , Martin Luther THE king.  my money is on either its something in the Spanish language to do with names an formalities or signs of respect. or frackin CO-HOST is just balls crazy and all those years of watching WWF an macho man randy savage  he enjoys  spicein there name up.

lets try it now! if i was about to anounce a world title PAY PER VIEW event where franco and the king jr would hit each oher with steel chairs. am i gonna yell "INTRODUCING JAAAMMES FRANCOOOO!!! VS MARTIN LUTHER KING JJRRRRR!"

or   "INTRODUCING JAAAAMES DE...FFRRANNNCCCCOOOOOOO!!!! FIGHTING TONIGHT AGAINST MARTIN LUTHER TTHHAAAA KING!"

when yea break it down like that it makes alot of sense in the co host world, and i always break it down...and move it all around *wink*
