I think Cyrus might have dyslexia. What kind of fucked up number system goes, "A... 2... 3"? Love you Cyrus, but your brain must have stopped for a second... Don't pass that shit off as hexadecimal; that shit don't start at A, it starts at 1

PS: I'm NOT angry WHAT SO EVER. Just saying...

Ugh, this movie was all kinds of bad. I tried to meet it on so many different levels, but it just isn't scary, funny, or entertaining at all.

Yea I saw this yesterday during a matinee, I didn't hate it, but I expected it to be way better coming from Guillermo del Toro.

    Its basically a High Rental.

it didnt work 100% of the time and Im a big fan of horror movies

at least Guillermo tried even if he didnt direct

they got the creepy feel nailed but the movie just didnt terrify me enough

the plot is like an ol' fashioned haunted house flick

the creatures were kinda neat even if their mythology wasn't fully covered

Bailee Madison can certainly act for her age, and I enjoyed the relationship she had interacting with Katie Holmes

Guy Pearce was pretty underwritten overall

Guillermo does however, have a gift for imagery; every shot in the film has great scenery and something interesting to look at

I wouldnt watch it again because you wont retain anything from it but its cool for the creepy atmosphere

I agree with co-host. a rave would be awesome, especially with all the shit looking like it would pop out at you. But the best part would be popping some X or some acid. now that would be scary! O.O

Might watch this with my granddaughter  but this wont scare her,

kids today dont scare the way it was in  the 70s when i was a kid.Like the Exorcist when mad religious people were outside the theatre blessing you on the way in, now kids laugh at it! i was 16 with the guys who were all "movies dont scare me bullshite " as soon as that head spins round all hiding behind our progams screaming like little girls.cant remember last time a horror movie did that, liked the Evil Dead though.

having just seen this, I thought it was directed by Guillermo del toro i didn't realize it was only written by him, while i know he is huge on helping up and coming directors with getting a break that most other producers and studios don't want to help out, i was a little disappointed with don't be afraid of the dark.

While i'll most likely watch it again because it's not a bad movie in anyway it just wasn't as good as i had hoped it would be and wished they had actually spent more time on the whole fairy lore, it would have been cool to actually see where the fairy's come from, it wasn't a scary movie nor did it seem like there were any real jump scares in it.

The one thing that did get me was the rating, "R" rated for a few scenes in the movie that might have been considered graphic, i've seen worse PG-13 horror movies that should have been "R" this was at most a PG-13 movie but this is just one more reason why Hollywood needs a new rating system.

I have mixed feelings about Bayliee Madison; she was Elle Fannings sister in Phoebe in Wonderland, but she was also Josh Huchersons sister in that piece of crap Bridge to Teribithia movie. I did see and like Brothers but she seems to Disneyish for me to really like her.

Donwun, come on haha, Pan's Labyrinth was released in 2006. At this point you should be able to talk about the movie's ending freely.

Soylent Green IS people, Bruce Willis is dead, and Rosebud's the sled.   That's right, I spoiled it.  Why? Because it is common knowledge already among movie fans anyways and you should be able to talk about endings of movies that have been out for a long time, without worrying about upsetting the few who didn't bother to see it.
