Proof that Co-Host has more than "Fuck You" and "Better Than Sex" in his bag of ratings.

I'm more or less with Korey on this one. It was formulaic as all Hell, but "formulaic" only equals "bad" if you've seen way too many movies.

This is the kind of movie I will buy once it makes its way into the bargain bin so that, if I ever have to babysit for someone again, I can take it with me and better my chances of not having to watch any REAL crap with the kids instead.

Hmm...this movie screams spam to me. Just something so plain and bad for you but you fry it up and eat it anyway when you don't have anything left in the cupboard.

Instead of making a fake flipper for this dumb ass dolphin. This is what I would have done, I would bash it's head in with a hammer and put it's meat on the black market. Kill it and grill it baby.

a cute and heartwarming movie for all families

but it did feel a tad too long and could have dispensed with some of the other subplots involved

What can I say?  I have no idea if I ever would want to see this movie but I keep logging onto your site to laugh my ass off at your reviews.  I hope you guys get the recognition you all deserve.  You took a bad day -- my 51st birthday -- and have me sitting at my keyboard with a cheek to cheek grin.  Thanks, guys!

I HATE THIS MOVIE. it sucked so much. the theater was full literally and the whole time i was saying to myself "this is what all these people came to see?" its not clever at all. its scenes of a dolphin swimming around mixed with a lot of stupid humor and dumb attempts to try to make you emotional. I don't like how the kid makes a complete 360 as a character within 1 scene.  Theres also a lot of the cheesy, over exaggerated performances. There's stupid, useless scenes of just sitting around doing nothing but playing with a dolphin that are only there to cater to kids. Morgan Freeman's character doesn't even show up 'till over halfway through the movie, and they don't even start trying to make the tail until the movie is nearly over. I think this film was made so that they could bring in a whole bunch of sensitive people on the gimmick that "it's commentary on the perception of the disabled" BULLSHIT! its a money making pile of crap.

I'll admit, my eyes watered a little bit. Although it was really just because I love seeing chemistry between humans and wild animals...when you see the bond (especially when we rarely see it on the big screen), I couldn't help but feel invested in the story.

I did see the news story a while ago about Winter getting an aritificial fin...so when I heard it was based on the same dolphin, I ended up seeing it this afternoon...and I really enjoyed it. The entire audience was in love with it and applauded at the end.

Now I don't think it's fantastic, it is predictable, but being based on a true story (including the soldier), it was too inspiring too hate on. They even have a montage scene that uses that pop song thats used in EVERY movie this yea (the song that was made fun of and used in Friends With Benefits). Honestly, I forgive this movie for it's flaws. It was at times beautiful to watch (and the 3D wasn't too bad, especially the opening sequence).

I think if adults bring their kids to see it, they will appreciate the story, and kids will love it. Coming from me who's an adult and paid Matinee...I would easily give it a High Matinee. Borderline Full Price.

By the way...this is the same movie I kept making fun of everytime I saw the poster. It really did look like they grabbed a bunch of unemployed actors, and added Morgan Freeman and a dolphin and it looked so cheesy and bland...and after walking out, I may not bother seeing it again, but I'll totally recommend it and I did really like it.

Plus...I just saw Drive two nights ago, and thought almost anything I see next would be a huge dissapointment because I loved Drive a shit load...but no I ended up liking it on most levels.

***oh and I couldn't help but think of Lucious Fox lol!!! Everytime he brought a new model-fin, it looked like his next stop was Bruce Wayne's home.

The trailers alone gave me a total after school special vibe and worst yet it remind me of that movie we all already forgot Soul Surfer.

Also, gotta say that I'm highly disappointed by Cyrus and all the other Spill members for not pointing this one out earlier. But uh, don't we all know that the Dolphin is only good for song/dance movies?

Wow, after hearing how everyone felt about this review?  Well, it sounds like it's something that will be enjoyed by two types of people.

    1) Children with physical disabilities.

    2) Adults with mental disabilities.
