The best thing about this movie is Dominic Purcell who is best known for playing Lincoln Burrows on Prison Break. He's barely recognizable, has a lot of charm and is just a complete bad ass. Plus, he has the best death scene in the movie. It's a total "Holy Shit!" moment.

Been a big fan of Stathams for a while but I'll admit it's startin to get old,. Blitz was the first film of his I switched off half way through cos I just couldn't be bothered with it.

Best thing to do - let him make Expendbles 2, then get Crank 3 done, then freeze him in carbonite for posterity

Have you guys seen Blitz? Statham quite decent amount of range in that film. Won't surprised if you didn't since this film was mainly a UK release.

I hate to say it, but appearing in things like "Little Fockers" has completely eroded away all the credit and good will DeNiro earned with back in the 70's with Martin Scorsese. The latter seems content to work with Leonardo DiCaprio almost exclusively these days. I understand when Korey speaks DeNiro's name with awed reverence, but those good old days are well behind us. As sad as it is to report, having DeNiro in your film no longer means what it used to... or should.

Have you guys never seen Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels? That was Statham's first movie. He was great in it because the character he was playing was basically how he used to live his everyday life. He used to be a small time crook who pulled robberies and scams. Guy Ritchie wanted someone who looked like he belonged in that role, so when he met Statham he just threw him in the movie cause he fit the part so well.

Haha, my favorite part of Leon's reviews is when he speculates about the how the movies were made.  Gold everytime

A question for anyone who's actually seen the movie. The review pointed out that the movie has a complicated story, does the story atleast stay compelling or does it just turn into a mess at the end? thanks in advance.

The British SAS are some of the best special forces in the world. Just saying.

I had the same thought as Leon about how when I heard Yvonne Strahovski was in the movie about assassins/spys going after each other. I thought she was gonna play one and start kicking ass but nope she's just a love interest for Statham, which is just BS. Don't get me wrong the girl is gorgeous but just a complete waste. Interest for this movie was very high to a rental.

True story angle is utter bullshit. The writer decided it would help sales of his books if he wound in the actual deaths of a number of SAS troopers as part of his "conspiracy." Any book is bullshit if it starts with "Is this a true story? You decide!" The author actually got chewed out in front of a crowd of people by the daughter of one of the SAS who died, during training, and he told her that yes, it was all bullshit.

I'm a little sad that this movie is getting reviewed so harshly by other sites.  That's why I love this place, you guys say what the movie was to YOU and not as a matter of fact.

This one makes the certain seem redeemable to certain audiences, and I might still go see it because of this.  Thanks guys!

Great review guys. And when it comes to action films, the new Mission Impossible looks like its going to be incredible. Makes this one look a bit lame to be honest.
