They make 19 sound like a big number. Even going through college most women avg 3-4 guys a year. If they date till their mid 20's ad 6-7 plus 2-3 boyfriends along wiith all the vacation sex that doesnt count. 20 is low balling. It.

I just saw this movie and I was surprised by how terrible it is.The writing was terrible, the main character (an attractive woman in her late 20's who obviously comes from a financially stable family) is more pathetic and desperate than would would even be possible for ANYONE in her situation, and there were many things in the movie that were never revisited (like the part where Anna Faris's character and her sister were talking about how their father is only going because he thinks that he has to, and then they don't reinforce those feelings or explain them later on in the movie; when we meet him, he seems like a very loving father who is overjoyed by the fact that his daughter is getting married).

I am actually pretty disappointed to hear that this got a better review than Bridesmaids. Bridesmaids, although not nearly as funny as the trailer promised it would be, was a hell of a lot funnier than this movie, and it stuck to the point. Plus, the Kristen Wiig's character's situation (not to mention her actions and reactions to situations) were far more believable than Anna Faris's main character's reaction to just about anything. "What's Your Number?" is more of a caricature of female social interactions and ways of thinking than even "Bridesmaids", and that is REALLY saying something.

I'm sorry to say this, guys, but I used to think that you knew what to look for in a movie. The fact that this review is positive is deeply disappointing. Perhaps you simply don't know how to judge a chick flick; who knows? That almost implies that you think that women are satisfied with pitifully formulaic story lines and main characters that were written in an attempt to be relatable to us but miss the mark ALMOST EVERY TIME.

The movie was a low quality unfunny stab at a female-oriented comedy. It failed miserably in every way imaginable, including the acting. Anna Faris did "Smiley Face"! Come on! You'd think she would've managed to pull something funny out of her ass here!

Read a review that gave it 1/5 and called it  "..radical on the surface but infinitely sly conservative underneath" (google translation). So I was kind of surprised by your somewhat positive review.

Now I know the reason why Nicole never gave me her cell phone number is because she never wanted me to know how many boyfriends she had before she met me.
