    @ Katie of Love

I love Chicken Run. Maybe it stems from my love for anything Aardman Animations does, but...

I finally saw it on Turkey Day and in my opinion-it was okay. Not Toy Story 3 awesome, but not Marmaduke horrible. It didn't make me laugh much, I could kind of guess what was going to happen, and there was a really innapropriate comment at one point (Let's just say the kids in the audience were going to ask who was really giving them money for their teeth) Meh, low matinee.

"Worst-Madagscar series, Shark Tale, Bee Movie, Over The Hedge, Sinbad, Shrek The Third, Chicken Run, Spirit, Shrek 4, Antz" Damn son, how you gonna hate on Chicken Run?

In response to Katie of Love's comment, I'm glad to see I wasn't the only one who liked The Road to El Dorado. But yes, I'm still waiting for Tangled to blow Megamind out of the water.

You guys know how you said that "Marmaduke" will never be uttered again until the straight to DVD sequel comes out? You were wrong.

I'm going to be straight up-I dont like Dreamworks much. Best films by them-How To Train Your Dragon, Monsters Vs Aliens, Shrek, Shrek 2, Prince Of Egypt, Road To El Dorado, Flushed Away, Kung Fu Panda Worst-Madagscar series, Shark Tale, Bee Movie, Over The Hedge, Sinbad, Shrek The Third, Chicken Run, Spirit, Shrek 4, Antz The reason? I feel that they are a very lazy company that thinks that as long as the animation looks good, they dont need to focus on the actual movie. So theyll pay some random celebrity to do the voices, throw in a story we've seen before, and add some of the most ridiculous humor that makes a fly more entertaining. This is why I also dont like CGI much. I feel that it's much more amazing to see effects created by hand, and more effort is put into the movie. As for Megamind? I might check it out, but still. It looks like it's just going to be a stupid version of Despicable Me, and I feel that they wont take the story of "the villain actually wins" very seriously. And plus, I heard that there might be a large amount of fart jokes. I'll wait to see Tangled, thank you very much.

I'm kinda getting Annoyed by DreamWorks to be Honest Shrek 2 and the Madagascar Series (2 was better IMO) were the Only good films from What I've Seen.

@Feudal Cactus's comment, Couldn't have said it better, especially on Monsters vs Aliens. I did not like their previous movies except the first 2 Shreks thought I still think both are over-rated, and was surprised with Kungfu Panda and delighted at HtTYD and thought Dreamworks was starting to finally care about the movies they made instead of just designing stupid, but admittedly well-animated easily marketable cash cows. Then the trailer for this came out, which just shows that despite finally achieving animated art they just could not let go of their shameless need to pander to the lowest common denominator and kept the old team of idiots. Even the art direction and character designs for this and their other lesser animations are similar. It's appalling, because they've shown us they know what quality is but still choose to create stuff like this anyway and settled with having two kinds of movies, quality ones and disgustingly profitable but bad ones. What annoys me is Dreamworks will use the prestige of the better team's movies to market their crap team's movies, which they do not deserve to be associated with. Here's hoping they break of and form their own studio and become as successful as Pixar.

I get the feeling that unlike Pixar, Dreamworks has two very distinct teams. They have their A-Team that works on things like "How to Train your Dragon", "Kung-fu Panda" and the first two Shrek movies, and then they have their B-Team which is filled with interns that don't understand what the fuck they are doing. Yeah, the Penguins from "Madagascar" were funny and yeah the animation in "Monsters Vs. Aliens" was good, but these and several other of their films suck. In fact I was surprised by how well received MvA was by the critic community, a 71% in rottentomatoes? Did I watch some other film? Based on everything said in this review I will definitely not be seeing this one. Thanks Spill.com! Champions of Justice and protectors of my expendable cash!

Damn, can we have one review where "latent homosexuality" doesn't come up? Seriously, you all are looking for shit that isn't there and it is getting really old, annoying, & over-used but most importantly: not funny.

Whoa, first of all - Cyrus, Mastermind is awesome. But anyway, I was really disappointed with this movie. I was intrigued by the concept, but it really did suffer from all of Dreamworks' pratfalls. Like D Dubya said, they're way too concerned with celebrity voices than anything else that could lend substance to the movie. And the fucking dance numbers. The motherfucking dance numbers.

Seems like this sums up everything I don't like about the Dreamworks movies. They're mostly concerned with the celebrity voices to put in the trailer/posters, they put in too much "hip, modern" humor in attempts to recreate the success of the first Shrek movie, always have that side character they try way too hard to make you "fall in love" with so they can warrant a spin-off short featuring them when the DVD comes out, and, as Korey alluded to, THE FUCKING DANCE NUMBERS. They're not cute, they're not funny, they're not entertaining, they're just STUPID AS ALL HELL AND EVERYONE HATES THEM. CUT THAT SHIT OUT DREAMWORKS!!!! .... *ahem* So yea, just add this to the growing list of mediocre Dreamworks CGI movies I'll be skipping...
