I just saw this movie, and there were some great scares! I had a great time with this movie.

My only problem was that almost everything I was looking forward to in the trailers wasn't present in the final product.

I'm seeing so much different footage than the screening I saw in houston last week. How much extra stuff did they film for this?

Paraboring Inactivity 3 in theaters now... LAME -__-

and really Co-Host the next "SAW" for Halloween?   Saw movies were a lot better than this trashy franchise.

    finally

they fixed all the mistakes from the last movie

I was very, very scared this time around
    ...
the scares are more timed and I was so freaked out; not as fake as the previous family with all the fish wire

we finally get to see how Katie and her family first made contact with the demonic force that has haunted her throughout the whole series

the overlapping of the storyline makes sense after the dots connect

but there were still some minor plotholes that didnt quite work with me

the next thing for them to do is move forward if they want to make another one

screw the 2nd movie; I love the 1st one and I really really like this 3rd one

and again, sleep with the lights on when watching this!

This movie lost me in the trailer from how good the video looked it was not that good of quality in 1988 bullshit!, Plus don't go see that movie go see the Re-release of Ghostbusters in theathers it's a better time and I think it's running one more week before Halloween.

The ending has a huge plot hole.

I still really wish I recorded the audience last night...it was one of those audiences you would NEVER expect to sit with. I mean it was EXTREMELY dynamic. All races, genders, and everyone from the ones that wanted everyone quiet and genuinly freaked out...to (most) the ones that constantly both pretend scream..and actually scream. A guy in the front had the best fake screams...unless they were real but it made everyone laugh.

I loved when everyone took turns going "SHHH."....."shhh"...."SHHHHH!"....."SHH"......."shhhh"...(then someone yelled) "SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!". and a guy in the same row said "you shut the fuck up faggot"...and the other one stood up and said "what did you say fag?"..and im in the row behind them in the middle and I said "oh no...the ghost has cursed all of us" (accidently made people laugh) and I quietly said "we must all get through this together, we can do this!".

It was easily the funnest audience experience I've ever sat through...BUT...as much as everyone seemed to love it, the ending actually made people say "WHAT!!!"..."come on!!! lets all get our money back"...and literally like 2 people said "that was awesome".

I couldnt even hate it, the audience made it so fun that I actually loved it, and yet I was never once scared, only though that it was creepy to think about after. I was really hoping to be freaked out, but I still enjoyed it. Plus the intentional laughs REALLY worked, like the "prank scare" made people laugh for literally 2 minutes straight, talking and laughing about it. It made me smile because I thought "wow, this is pure escapism".

    The movie alone...Matinee.

    The audience experience...Better Than Sex.

and I do find it weird just watching this trailer again, that like 25% of those scenes never happened...more than that actually like half the trailer just never happens, never explained. Not that it ruined it, but some of those scenes looked kinda creepy lol.

and I do agree...they DEFINITELY should have had that old film style. It would have been creepier, more eerie...more authentic.

The movie itself was alright...I never got scared but it definitely had those creepy elements (as a kid I always heard about Bloody Mary in the mirror)...so that was a good idea. and the end was kinda cool.

but the BEST part......WAS THE AUDIENCE. holy crap I never laughed so hard at a theater. It was the PERFECT big audience. The screams were sometimes so loud and delayed that I cracked up. And during the sex scene, me and my friend kept going "whats happening?? I'm scared!" lol.

This just reminded me to add the first Paranormal Activity in my all time worst movies list :)

I've seen the second one and all I can remember is one certain scene that was scary but only because it was a jump scare.  I'm staying away from this movie.
