@NeoXvss yes I did but then again the movie (badly) ripped from a ton of other movies. I'm so disappointed that this is by the same guy who did Gattaca

you guys had me right up to the Equlibrium comparison (no emotions yet everyone is running around screaming in fear and power hungry?)

Other than that, I full on agree with you, actually I had the same feelings when I caught a screener of the flick. Definitely a low rental if not a catch-it-on-cable

Great ideas get ruined when Timberlake is playing the lead lol.  And it doesn't matter what anyone says, but JT is a terrible actor, and he should stop mentioning and brown-nosing that he grew up with Ryan Gosling in the Mickey Mouse Club, he became a cool solid actor, while JT became a member of a boy-band with bad taste in music, and looks or not your still a wuss lol.  Besides JT and Seyfried, the rest of the cast got screwed but atleast they ran off with a paycheque and can move on to finding something better lol.

I'm so sad that this movie didn't live up to expectations :( It's between a rental for me. I would love to see a remake of this movie a decade or so down the line by a director and writer who can make the most out of this story. It's tragic to see that Andrew Niccol (the writer and director of freaking Gattaca) couldn't make the most out of this story.

@Markezzo - A few, but nothing groan worthy. It's not like someone just yells out "a stitch in time saves nine" or that, but there are some word-plays on time.

Did anyone else here that weird fuzzing noise in the review? Kinda like a TV fuzzing over.

So what happened with the Harlen Ellison lawsuit?  Obviously, its been released so did the settle out of court? Is he being credited?

Cillian Murphy is still my favourite actor, despite this. He's better than this film. Oh, and Equilibrium is a great film, very underrated.

See I gotta disagree here fellas. I went out and seen this and thought it was Andrew Niccol's best work since Gattaca. I think it was a pretty clever metaphor for the modern day disparity between the rich and poor. The premise and science and all that is just one of those things either you can just go with or you can't. I can see how some people wouldn't care for it though. I would say to people that if you were someone who enjoyed Gattaca and that brand of science fiction then it's worth checking out.

I've read some reviews that gave this movie a lot of points because its premise and setting is aparently a metaphore/satire of the whole OccupyWallStreet movement.

I thought this was gonna be a Logans Run ripoff.

Still kind of is. But it's a little bit better than that.
