my reaction to the trailer for this movie

  • November 15, 2011 at 3:24 PM, said ...

. . . **** this movie. . . Just coming out of this . . . this . . . thing, on Friday, I will have to say with all my heart as a film lover that this is probably one of the worst comedies I was forced to pay matinee for. MATINEE! I go by the rule of Carlyle and never go out of a film, no matter how bad it is. Watching this with my dad, who is a HUGE fan of Al Pacino, I just saw his rage in the grip of the arm chair when he came on the screen and all I could do was move a seat away because he might have punched me because of the rage he had from this movie. . . AND I WOULDN'T BLAME HIM. This movie was so bad that we both agreed to buy and watch 5 movies that day: Seven Samurai, Kiss Me Deadly and The Evil Dead trilogy and watched all three of them for the rest of the day to midnight. That was the only thing I liked about the movie: I was able to buy some awesome movies to compensate the badness of it. **** this movie and **** Adam Sandler

Co-Host can't hide that he's an Adam Sandler fan!

Co-Host sounds like rape victim with Stockholm syndrome. On one hand he is a movie critic & the other an adam sandler fan.

I agree with Corey. Just a lot of repetitive things from Sandler. He also has to have a well known/hot actress as a love interest in every one of his movies.

I'm with you Leon. I thought Trey Parker and Matt Stone made this movie up too.

I meant to put Leon, but I was thinking Carlyle.

    @Kingpin

    ...Carlyle isn't in this review...

What Carlyle and Cyrus said around the 3:50 mark is the same for me.

On another note of Beyond the Trailer: People have given great reviews to movies like Little Fockers and Big Momma's House 3. Don't be surprised.

So Grace Randolph of Beyond the Trailer proved that virtually the only people who liked this movie were 13 and younger. That fit: an immature movie for an immature audience.

Anyone who views my profile will see that I can't stand the movies produced by Adam Sandler. When I saw the trailer for this, I cringed in absolute horror. You have my sympathies, fellows (you especially, Cyrus) for having to suffer through what was obviously a Some 'Ol Bullshit movie at best.

This review, however, was hilarious. I think I got a bigger laugh out of hearing Korey do an Al Pacino from "Scent of a Woman" impersonation than anything I could get from watching this. From pain comes comedy and this was one funny review. It's reviews like this that keep my coming back to Spill each week. Keep up the good work!

Man, even eddie murphy doesn't make this kinda shit anymore (tower hiest at least had some good elements) Can sandler take the hint that this shit is more annoying than Nails on a chalkboard.

Oh wait, this is gonna make Buku bucks and sit at #1 for a few weeks like all of his god damn movies, except apparently for the good one (funny people)

When the parody of the trailer in a South Park episode is better than the  actuall movie you know this is a F*ck You. I took one second from looking at the trailer and I and a huge majority of the viewing audience knew this this was gonna be a huge peice of shit.

Sandler is taking home worst actress at the razzies next year for this piece of shit. It looks like this is The Love Guru of 2011.

@Mr. Bubbles.  Neither, Funny People didn't do as well as his other movies that are in the vain of Jack and Jill so he continues to make movies like this.

I've always been a fan of Adam Sandler's movies. I even liked Grown Ups, Eight Crazy Nights, and Just Go With It.

However, there's no way in fucking hell that I'm going to see this. If Eddie Murphy can take the hint and stop making these types of movies, Adam Sandler should know better.
