    For me this movie was a solid matinee, simply because it was really entertaining. Sure, if you look at it closer it probably sucks, but I haven't felt that exhilarated about fight scenes since 300. Speaking of looking closer though, I could have sworn there was a scene where the paint on the cheap plastic-looking shields was coming off as the characters hit their swords against them. And Mickey Rourke is constantly eating, I totally agree about that. Between that and his mumbling he was practically unintelligible! I still stick with matinee though.

    This movie sucks end of story.

    I don't need to listen to a review to know this but i like to listen to it because it's funny.

    But yah this one isn't that good.

    @Charles

    Transformers (the sequels, at least) are offensive in they way that they completely and utterly disregard cohesive storytelling. From what I can tell, Immortals is simply a little inept when it comes to its story. Big difference.

    I love how they praise this movie for having great action and fight scenes, and give it a matinee because the story is bad. Yet whenever Transformers does the same exact thing it gets a F*ck You or Some O' Bullshit. Can anyone say double standards? Regardless, I still cannot wait to see this film and I still love all the work you guys do even if ya'll don't like the badassness that is Transformers :)

    Low Matinee. The fighting at the end certainly had its moments.

    Movie is a low matinee at best...and 3D is completely unnecessary.

    Great review y'all.  The trailer did not catch my attention, but y'all have me intrigued with it being so beautiful.  Might have to check it out on netflix later.

    @Eric Schmid

    You're talking as if you just started noticing this trend. Its existed for a lot longer than just lately. It all depends on if you enjoy this one or not, if not there will be another one coming down the pipe soon.

    "...this movie follows an increasing trend lately in which movies have given up on producing solid 2 hour experiences and instead have spewed on sizzle reels and trailer montages." Look, I'm not going to defend the glaring issues that this movie has (though they clearly did not bother me as much as they did some other people), but if you think that this movie's formula is something that came about recently maybe you need to start looking into films of the past 3 or 4 decades (and maybe further). Trust me, it's nothing new.

    where do i begin?  this movie follows an increasing trend lately in which movies have given up on producing solid 2 hour experiences and instead have spewed on sizzle reels and trailer montages.  the film is visually impressive if you have a massive love affair with stylized settings and backdrops which showcase violence as it shifts in and our of hyper speed to the point of nausea.  i wanted this film to be good but it was like a tiny piece of steak that has been simmered for days in a vat of lard.  the shitty ingredients in this cinematic concoction have overwhelmed and drowned out the other minimally passable parts of it.  for shame for shame indeed

    The Cell is good until J-Lo shows up as the Virgin Mary. That annoyed the fuck out of me.

    oh yea The Fall is one I'd recommend. The Cell also is full of imagery.

    I should clarify that typo, i hate clash of the titans. That movie was a fuck you for me because it made me mad. So this is probably better than COT. But it doesn't look all that great

    Fuck this movie, fuck this movie hard. If i like it less than clash of the titans I will be shocked.
