Funny, Leon mentioned a Seventh Star Wars film...Leon the Spoiler and the Fortune teller of Spill.com

The whole jason segal and walter story line was just usless, they were just a way to reintroduce the muppets. Even if they were a plot element, I still think that they could have done without them. Walter's "talent" at the end of the movie isn't all the interesting, and they don't really explain why does walter have a human brother. And i'm sure they are gonna elaborate on it like Kung Fu Panda in the planned sequel and its gonna be more focused on it and it will be like that "Gonzo is an alien" plot. I just wish the second one will be a full 2 hour muppets show with every muppet character having his or her own spotlight. Because the muppet telethon at the end was the best part of the movie for me and i was disapointed that there wasn't more. I have to say though, Hobo Joe (Zack Galifinakis) was hilarious in his role. And as they said, my favorite muppet, Swedish Chef, didn't get his montage moment which kinda made me mad. It would have been funny to see he had his own cooking show or somthin'. And again, i totally agree that they didn't really have all the characters do their thing. THE BIGGEST problem is that Pepe the Prawn and Rizzo the Rat is almost NOT in this movie.

And like i said, i think it would be fixed with a 2 hour full muppet show with maybe a slight backstory backstage.

But for the movie as of now, i give it a high rentel. The movie isn't all that great untill it picks up on the muppet show at the end. The "new" characters aren't that interesting and as they said the only guest they focused anything on is Jack Black. And i agree, i read the cameos and i didn't even realise that half of those people were in it.

This movie is a high matinee, low full price because of the nostalgia factor. Any time you see your hero you are transported back to your fondest memories with them. Often we don't harshly criticize them, instead welcome them back with open arms.

I saw The Muppets tonight and damned if I didn't laugh to myself as I heard cohost's voice inside my head saying "fuck Walter" during all of his soul-searching scenes.  Great review!

I enjoyed this movie so much. Probably the most fun I had in the theatre this year. Not as good as Hugo, but it's still a fun time. Full Price:)

This was definitely a high full price for me. I'm all about the Muppets and this struck the right chords in almost every way. I actually thought they handled their cameos and musical numbers very well. In fact I might go see it again with my boyfriend who also enjoyed it. :-)

This was a Better than Sex for me. I'm very surpriseed that none of you liked it all that much being huge muppet fans. None of your complaints bothered me at all. I laughed, cried and geeked out more during this movie than as long as I can remember.

Saw it earlier today. It was a lot fun movie, but nowhere near "best of the year" quality. I'd give it either a High Matinee or a Low Full Price.

just saw the movie. you guys were too nice. this movie was so plagued by problems. it was all over the place and in your face. this movie is a insignificant speck compared to the greatness that is the original "THE MUPPET MOVIE"

Saw the movie earlier today.  I loved every minute of it, easily one of the best movies of the year.  I'm sorry you guys didn't enjoy it all that much.

I'm really impressed by the impartiality in this review. I was expecting a nostalgia-driven stream of consciousness considering the subject matter. I really dug the movie, but I was at an early premier where the environment will just make you enjoy the film all the more (the environment has an effect).

I was really curious what you guys thought of the Toy Story short that played before the movie.

Aargh! So disappointing it wasn't everything it's cracked up to be. I hope I like it more than you guys when I get to see it

You guys made some good points and you have the right to your opinion(obviously), but I loved this movie some great songs, clever jokes, very self aware and truly a great kind of reintroduction back into the muppets for a new generation. Full Price.

Jason Segel without an ounce of star quality? Okay, now I'm absolutely certain y'all don't watch, and heck, have probably never watched one glorious episode of "How I Met Your Mother", because he's awesome in that. So funny, so charismatic, such a great presence and there are rare points where he has to genuinely act, and he does it so fantastically. He goes through something traumatically emotional and relatable at the end of the season 6 episode, "Bad News" and all throughout its following episode, "Last Words", and his emoting and expressiveness is so resonant that "I" cried. From what it sounds like, the people who don't watch "How I Met Your Mother" (*cough*punks*cough*) only the Segel's side where he's almost making fun of himself, and I'll be the first to admit that he's got to stop that before everyone becomes unaware of the talent he really does have in him. Sorry, just had to get that out. In spite of y'all judging a book by its puffy cover, really good review, guys.

If Leon hadn't given this movie a Rental, I would have sworn that Disney had guns trained on the Spill Crew during this review.
