@vasanth v a, you are dead on. This movie basically dramatizes their alleged fraud when selling mortgage securities that were abandoned by people who were loaned the money by the banks, and didn't pay them, thus causing the value of those securities to turn to shit, and force the companies who own them (Lehman, GS) to sell them for more than they're worth. Great movie for finance enthusiasts, and those interested with the source material.

Baker had the perfect look. You see those sort of types all the time, plus his age is mentioned by Spacey

Actually, it's closer to what happened at Goldman Sachs than Lehman Brothers.

I'm an International Relations major and economics minor, and I can tell you that this movie is probably as close to finction as possible, at least from what I heard on the review.

I was looking forward to this movie but now I'll pass.

This movie is fantastic imo; anyone who's interested in economics should watch it. You don't have to be an economics major to get the concepts that are discussed throughout the movie as the characters break the issues down for the audience. I'd go for a high Full Price on this one as it met all of my expectations and left me wanting more.

From someone who has studied economics for a while, this movie sounds incredible.

I love this movie. A compelling, very smartly written drama about a major event that took place in our economic history.

The movie really does the perfect job of telling the audience how the whole global economic crisis started of.

I'm looking forward to this. It sounds like something I could really enjoy, even though I probably will need to do some honest-to-God research afterwards to understand everything. I don't mind that the people in the movie talk like they would in a real workplace. Apparently they don't talk down to the audience - and I can respect that kind of authencity. It might not make the most engaging of experiences in the theater, but I still want it.

I'm with Cyrus on this one.  This was a full price for me.  Loved the performances and got that it wasn't about understanding exactly what they were talking about.  You just needed to understand the weight of what they were saying.  It's kind of like techno-babble from Star Trek in that regard.

My friend's wife, who called herself a 'finance nerd'. loved it even more than I did.  She actually understood all the financial mumbo-jumbo from the movie.  I'd also like to point out that my friend's wife has great tits.  Just an observation.
