    I would just like to point out that it is the Notebook if she lost her memory when she was younger. She essentially played the same character.

    @What Rabbit?

    The difference is Midnight in Paris' lead actor IS actually likable and The Vows' is (As Cyrus puts it) a slab of meat.  Its only a small difference... you know, you care about the struggles of one and fall asleep to the other.

    And you're acting like characters are the only aspect of a film that determines quality.  Let's say you DIDN'T like Owen Wilson.  Midnight in Paris also had a wonderful script with wit, humor, and lightness injected into it.  From how the Spill Crew described The Vow, its script is melodrama that takes itself too seriously.  They even said that the only parts of it they enjoyed WERE the lighter parts (ex. the date), and the whole film could have benefitted from taking itself less seriously. You could go down a checklist of all aspects of filmmaking (cinematography, performances, direction, etc) and MiP would most likely be the superior in each.

    Suffice it to say, The Spill Crew had more reasons than JUST the unlikable characters for not digging The Vow, and they CERTAINLY had more than enough reasons for liking MiP despite the snobby characters. If you pay as much attention to the films you watch as you do to Spill audio reviews, then I guess its no wonder you feel the way you do..

    Didn't both American Dad and The Simpsons have episodes where the wife got Amnesia and couldn't remember their husband and the guy had to make her love him again?

    Sounds like Rachel McAdams plays the same character from Midnight in Paris, and has cunty parents like Midnight in Paris and has a a pushover pussy-ass husband like Midnight in Paris. Yet Midnight gets a best movie of the year when it really is just a some ol' bullshit movie. guess if they referenced some intellectual writers/painter it would get a better rating

    So how is this movie unbelievable when Midnight in Paris had nothing but shallow, cunty, pseudo-intellectual, unlikeable people as well?

    I could never watch this movie. Every scene with Channing Tatum and Rachel McAdams I just reenact this scene in the middle of the theater.

    @ 16Resistsretalliates.A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints. Yes that's the movie that made me turn my hate around. I use to bash this dude and I saw this this year(thanks to my sister obession wit him) that i realize this dude gets alot a hate for nothing. He's not great actor. he ain't bad. I notice he's does fine job when the director know how to handle him. Like the Eagle or the Dilemma. He's was only funny part in that crap. He growed on me

    Oh God I think i have man crush on this do lol

    If everyone wants to see Channing Tatum do actually good stuff (besides The Eagle as mentioned), Go see A Guide to Recognizing Your Saints, Battle in Seattle and Stop-Loss. He really gets to showcase all kinds of emotions and be a competent actor. Maybe its because his face is wooden or stuck that people hate him but I enjoy him. To me, he's one of those unconventional love interests.
