    @PaleHorseWC2,

    The black cop was played by Lennie James who, as far as I'm concerned, can get away with figuring things out super fast because he's such a badass. In fact, I would have preferred it if his character was in the entire movie instead of being brought in late and having a few cool scenes here and there. It needed a solid antagonist ("antagonist" doesn't always mean "villain") to last throughout the film and James would have made a great one.

    Just watched it and while I certainly wasn't blown away, I still liked it better than I thought I would after the negative review here. It was a decent, but flawed, thriller. Somewhere between High Rental and Low Matinee.

    The "hot mom" at the park was Olivia Wilde who most will now know from House and Tron Legacy, and who I honestly don't think is all that attractive.

    As soon as I saw in a trailer that they were doing the tennis ball thing I knew this movie would be chock full of shit. They busted that years ago...which means the writer didn't bother with any research...which means he's an idiot and his movie will be crap.

    After watching the trailer it seems that the best part is likely Liam Neeson's bit, and it also seems most of that is in the trailer anyway. I'll skip it.

    Some people might find it boring, but I like the slow-burning pace & the strong acting. Even though there was the occasional lapse in logic (tennis ball lockpick), it felt pretty realistic... I dug the hell out of it, actually. I liked it more than Crash, it wasn't as predictable.

    Excellent review. On par with what I thought about it. Really did laugh wondering about how Liam Neesons character was just walking the streets freely even though he PUBLISHED a book on escaping prisons multiple times. Makes you wonder.

    Clarification of Pbatemand441 By proved he means that its a load of shit and doesn't work. A tennis ball won't unlock your car. At least not that way. Maybe if you loaded it in a high powered air gun and shot it through the window you could reach in and unlock it... but that's what hammers are for. In fact I highly doubt any of the shit done in this movie would actually work, just like most of the Mac Guyver stuff doesn't. Although some of it does. Like chocolate really will neutralize sulfuric acid. In case your ever in that situation.
