They EXISTED, just not the way they're depicted in this movie (they're dramatically exaggerated in this movie).

Watching this my mind kept flashing back to 300. The sabertooth scene where he is trapped is the cave looked just like leonidas's coming of age with the wolf

I forgot to say how much I hate it how people criticize the terror birds scene. There were large terror bird creatures in real life, give or take they died long before humans actually came. I still thought it was the coolest scene in the movie.

I wanted to see this movie so,so,so badly. When I finally did, I didn't hate it, but I don't love it. For the movie as a whole i give it moderate rental. For the mammoths and phorusrachids(terror birds) to see all that spectacle it's a really, really, really low matinee.

I saw this piece of garbage at the drive-in. It was attached as the "B" Feature to Speed Racer and I was bored after 10 minutes. I was so bored that I packed my chair, got in the back of my folks car, passed out and told them to wake me up when the movie was over. I give this a very low Some Ol' Bulls**t.

I almost always agree with the rating spill gives to movies. I thought this movie was alright.. on the effects part and the girl. The plot and story were quite the opposite, the movie wasnt as 'fluid' as I hoped and it didnt feel right. Some parts should have been different. I'd say Rental.

Renagade, that's not how evolution works. If the traits from raptors carried into terror birds simply because they evolved along a similar evolutionary line, that would mean that all birds would be ravenous carnivores just like raptors. Canaries of today would hunt in flocks, swarming them and tearing apart whatever they came across like flying piranhas (which might actually make for a cool b-movie). All birds would be predatory if your interpretation of evolution was correct. The fact that they share lineage with dromaeosaurids ("raptor" dinosaurs) has nothing to do with behavior. In fact, the terror birds are related to storks. The species just evolved into predatory animals, and hunting in flocks was the natural way for the terror birds to hunt. Sorry to hijack this bustling discussion, but I just wanted to clear up something that nobody really cares about.

This movie just seems full of stereotypes, in the most negative way of putting it! I'm with Korey on this one, this whole movie is just wrong.

"The leftovers from 300" hahah really? Now I don't want to see this movie. I was going to watch it because of the buzz before I seen this review.
