Truthfuly I really liked this movie. I grew up with the animated movies and even watched a few from the Big Adventure Movie to Frankenstien. They were also a very popular radio show for a time. While this is not a movie I would see in theatures it is a very cute movie to rent. The Chipmunks looked real and their songs are fun. Even the live actors like David Cross and the person who Dave, both actors which I've never really enjoyed. I also totally agree with Axel, it is funny in some places and not so funny in others. It is a great family movie. If you have kids take them to see this in a Matinee but if you just want a light and cute movie I would Rent it. I give it a Rental.

Matinee. This movie is funny at points and just completly stupid at others. It's a good family movie, but anything else, it's a Matinee.

20th Century Fox announced that Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 in 3-D will be released worldwide on December 16, 2011. Yes I am so happy. I think Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 in 3-D will be called: Alvin and The Chipmunks The 3-Dquel (2011). or as I call it Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 The 3-Dquel (2011) Of course when Alvin and The Chipmunks The 3-Dquel comes out on DVD and Blu-Ray Disc four or five months later, the DVD and Blu-Ray Disc of Alvin and The Chipmunks The 3-Dquel would simpily be retitled as Alvin and The Chipmunks The Threequel or as I call it Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 The Threequel. I can not wait to go see Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 The 3-Dquel on Friday December 16, 2011. I can not wait to own Alvin and The Chipmunks 3 The Threequel on DVD four or five months later.

This is a very nice movie for kids. I took mine to watch it and they love it and me too, some how I remind me when I used to watch the cartoons.

At the time of this posting, I have seen one movie about chipmunks that talk (Alvin & The...") & one movie about a beaver with teeth ( "Teeth"). Is this the new fad in Hollywood?

that experiment-on-chipmunks idea would make the movie more interesting!

Some 'ol bull shit if you ask me, but I've been a little hard on children's movies ever since they started taking advantage of the fact there audience won't know any better. So don't take my word for it, go out and waste your money on this crap. Just don't come crying to me when the Chipmunks make your ears bleed.

I have to admit the CGIs did actually make them look like chipmunks and rather cute, cuddly ones. Other than that, I don't really think I'll see the movie.
