  I just wasn't feeling this as much as you guys. I really looked forward to it after all the hype, but it just didn't measure up IMO. I thought the acting was good and like the direction, but the nice tidy ending and the way Lucas was almost made into a good guy left me a bit perturbed. It seemed to drag on a bit to me also...

  This is one of the best movies I've seen in this present year. So powerful, so breathtaking and full of action and drama. Based on true, The story about the rise and fall of Harlem's drug kingpin Frank Lucas, its so interesting. Of course we can't compare this movie with some other gangster masterpieces like Goodfellas, The Godfather and Scarface but easily can be situated below this three as one of the best. The direction from Ridley Scott is perfect, its so wonderful how he tells a story and keep it interesting for almost three hours. The adaptation of the late 60's and early 70's New York is amazing and the music great. The cast is simply excellent, flawless performances from everyone. Denzel's role is awesome, although he is the bad guy, you finish liking him. I was sure he was going to be nominated for an Oscar as best actor in a leading role but anyway. Russell Crowe is also flawless as officer Richie Roberts. Secondary roles from Josh Brolin, Cuba Gooding Jr and others gives a perfect support to Crowe and Washington. Definitely as I said before this is one of the best movies of the year, a must see for everyone.

  Whoa! I never thought you guys would actually declare something better than sex... Of course, here's the problem with that. With the other ratings, it's clear what we should do; rent it, see it for full price, avoid it altogether, etc. But what do we do with something better than sex?   This movie was right up there with the godfather for me...definetly a must see...i could not care less about what russell crowe was doing...as usual denzel stole the show...is there anything this man cant do...i think he deserves the oscar for this one...

  This film was really amazing it's just insane. You see how he goes to out of the country to buy the heroin from a direct source. The man actualyl dragged his ass out there. Interesting fact, Frank Lucas was looking for a supplyer for 2 months in Vietnam!!! 2 MONTHS! He found it for $4200 a key, while others were spending like $10,000 a key. Denzel and Russel Crow did such an amazing job, it really showed how the 70's were in Harlem during that time period. Amazing film.
