The videogame reference in the beginning was on the money. This movie combined that, solving riddles, action, science and it was good. Yeah, I really liked it. I grasped almost everything and I liked it even more cause I had an ace in the hole. I made a project that included the LHC so when I saw that this was included, I was hooked from the very first scene. The only bad element was the chick. Didn't like her that much. Other than that, full price.

great movie.. but its nothin like the book. the twists are staggering too. but it is kind of cliche. But if you want to see a movie that makes one think, this is the one.

I wish they would have portrayed this movie in way that would have done the book justice. Don't get me wrong it was good. However it wasn't great like the book. Movie Trivia

If not for the trailer hyping me up, I would've given this a rental, maybe even a matinee. But since I was so excited to see it and so bored when watching it, I give it a some ol' bullshit.

This movie was so boring, it made me wish for the convolutedness of DaVinci Code! I'd rather watch someone's slideshow from their Italy vacation.... Hanks & Howard are phoning it in and cashing out! See me review this with my dad at youtube.com/GabnDad

I guess the movie sucked cos they couldn't put a lot of the important elements that were there in the book were not depicted in the movie. As far as I am concerned the movie was just like National Treasure with elements from Die Hard or maybe even True Lies . Big thumbs down

The movie itself is a high Matinee but damn damn damn!!! Ewan McGregor as the camerlengo was so great I have to give this high Full Price or even Better Than Sex. By the end of this film, I don't remember anything but me thinking "Take off your shirt, Ewan! Take it off! Get naked. Please do it, like in the book! Strip!" Oh and they dropped the whole thing about the camerlengo and the pope... oh well I know they couldn't squeeze it in. Overall: I really really enjoyed it and if you liked the movie, go read the book.

This movie is lame. It is very predictable from start to finish. The plot is so outlandish and ridiculous it teeters on laughable. The only people who would find this movie enjoyable are those easily entertained by the action sequences, or those that harbor some animosity towards the Catholic Church and/or Christianity as a whole, and enjoy bashing them. The only thing saving this movie from a F*** YOU is the action sequences, and even with them this film is boring. Lowest rental possible.

The Movie all together was well put. But how the guys said it, It was rushed, Hell I got whip lash from it!!LOL. I read the book, I was a bit disappointed at the fact that they didnt keep to the original story line, like in the davinci code , howard basically shoved the book into the camera and pooped out as much as the movie as 2 hours and something minutes permits, it was good. but this movie took a whole left turn and even left out and old man called kolher or kholer and he played a mojor role in the book. Everyone is a critic ha ha, but i enjoyed the film, cant wait to see it again.

Slim hope? We can only hope he is never in another Star Wars franchise. As for the naked part, maybe he can play Doctor Manhattan Jr. in Watchmen 2. Anyhooch, this is a low rental for me. A time killer mostly, and Langdon is one of the most useless heroes in recent film.

You think that the only reason not to like this is b/c you're confused? Ah hell no. It was transparent and ridiculous. When I can tell who the bad guy is from the trailer in a 'mystery' there's a problem. A big one. Stale dialogue, no chemistry between characters, etc. Halfway through my only motivation to continue watching was for further views of some of the most beautiful places in Rome (which they barely showed!) or the slim hope that Ewan would get naked or at least whip out a light saber (or both?).

I really don't see why people find these films enjoyable. Everyone who sees them reads the books first and that is never a good idea. Film adaptations of books never are that great of an experience because you already know what's going to happen. On a side note I'm going to hell for laughing my ass off when the chick starts doing CPR and blood flys out of the preferitti's puncture wounds onto Langdon's face.

To those that are bashing the science involved in this: everything is explained much better in the book, of course.

Jafford, I'd have mentioned Hellsing before either one of those two. It kicks way more ass. Anyway, I may check this out when it comes to DVD, because the Divinci Code bored the hell out of me. I really don't understand why so many people protested it, because it was science fiction. Whatever though. I just know it made a really boring movie.

Once again guys, awesome review. I shouldn't be saying this about the pope since I'm german but yeah he looks like palpatine, big time. That antimatter stuff sounds so silly, specially since it is "glowing", it's antimatter it can't be glowing, oh and it appeared in the vatican, yeah sure, the science capital of the world. No Carlyle, fine for me, he's the only one I tend not to agree with.
