  this was based on original Asian film which was better, still no classic but solid matiee

   

  the problem with this is like lot of remakes, especially when do cross-boarder, did not look at what made first one fun.

  This movie had some of the worst action scenes ever. Especially that one scene near the end when Nicholas Cage runs into one of the asian bad guys in a room full of shelves that are full 5 gallon water bottles. Then, they start walkin along the same shelf, in the same direction, on opposite sides of the shelf, and they're shooting at each other through the water bottles, WTF!!!

  I like Nicholas Cage, but yeah he really should find better movies to be in because this one was just an average action movie we've seen a thousand times before, however I quite enjoyed it for what it was so I'd give it a Rental but damn, that ending made no goddamn sense...

  RENTAL. The only reason I liked this film is that I used to live in Bangkok, and I thought they did a great job of capturing that city's experience. Other than that, this movie offers little to anyone else. This is a great Spill review.

  Damn, this movie really disappointed me. I thought it would be the action film of the summer, and it was going to rock everyone's socks off straight away. Unfortunately I was wrong, and utterly wrong, what a boring movie! I wanted guns blazing more frequently than fucking breathing, and what do I get? This piece of garbage... He looks tired, and annoyed all the time, his little helper is nothing but trouble and stupidity and what the hell was with that part where he fell in love with the mute? I mean sheesh! I can't carry on talking about this, it makes me grit my teeth in regret of ever spending money on this movie. Although I need to say a few more things, I hated the part where he was starting to get sentimental, I mean it is an assassin movie, he should just kill people for the mere fun of it, and eat babies for breakfast! I hate when they start stuffing assassin movies with lame feelings, everybody knows that somebody who takes other peoples lifes for money don't have a single bit of human left in them. ... Anyways, before I drown you all in my endless jibbering about just how bad I thought this movie were, then I would like to give you credit for the review, I laughed my arse off the entire time, one of your best so far!   I went into this movie not expecting much and left getting what I expected. I like Nic Cage as much as the next person and only went to this because a friend who is obsessed with him wanted to go see it, and even she knew it wasn't his best coming out of it.

  I am a big Nick Cage fan, but his choices for movies has been complete and utter crap! Is Hollywood's amazing scripts drying up...Nick is not the only dude picking junk movie roles...Hollywood needs better writers, because I have never seen so many re-makes in my freaking life! I think all of us in this forum could put our heads together and submit a better script than Hollywood...I mean...come on!   I've tried to watch the original Bangkok dangerous at least 4 times. I just can't enjoy it. It was sort of a mess, it wasn't well acted, didn't feature much of that amazing stuntwork being done in thailand these days, and the action wasn't all that entertaining (although the vision of violence was well presented). I knew this movie was going to be garbage and stayed well clear. I'm sure everyone else will too.

  lol, i cant remember the last film i saw nicolas cage in , he rearly has sold him self short being in this B rated movie. Last film i liked him in was Ghost rider and that was cheesy at best. Love the review ive never laughed so much in my life.

  It's interesting how they Hollywoodize Asian cimena, essentially sterilizing it and losing the essence of what made it special in the first place. This is my first comment. Spill has the best reviews, period, bar none.
