@Ross O'Brien - It's a 10 point ratings system. The individual ratings are tallied up and averaged for the cumulative score, which is then rounded to the nearest integer. For instance: Cyrus - Low Rental (2), CoHost - Some Ol Bullsh** (1), Korey - Rental (3), Leon - Some Ol Bullsh** (1), for a cumulative score of 1.75 (rounded to 2) which edges it up into a "Low Rental".

    Hope that helps explain it.

I know I've asked this before, but what exactly is the rating formula? If you have two some ol' BS and two rentals (one of which a "low rental" at that), how does this average out to a "rental"? My math skills aren't great, but at least they are based in real math...given that there is no "Some Ol Rent-shit" halfway point, I understand you have to come down on one side of the coin or the other. That you came down on the 'rental' side just adds confirming evidence to the conspiracy theory that Uncle Korey's vote counts just a leeetle bit more....

Steve Carrell needs to stop making all these shitty movies or he won't have much of a career left.

It's certainly not great but it's about as good as you'd expect from the genera. It's almost as good as Anchorman in my mind so if you liked that one then I don't see why you wouldn't like this. Jim Carrey is definitely the highlight and he does a bit in the end that made me laugh harder than I have in a while. The movie does even squeeze in a slight bit of a social commentary about what people demand in their entertainment these days in a similar way to how Tropic Thunder did. That said, the best things in the movie really were mostly in the first 30 minutes. The middle dragged a bit, especially when Steve Carrell was alone and with out his colorful supporting cast. Also there is a pretty mediocre resolution that feels cheap. The ending solution that the magicians come up with is just really unsatisfying.

I'm sort of in between saying a rental or a matinee. It was fun enough to enjoy with my girlfriend in the theater but I could have easily waited until it was on Netflix or something. I feel that if this came out 10 years ago then it would have been better received. The real problem is that it's very similar to other movies in it's genera and people just feel like they're seeing the same trick twice. Audiences seem to be getting a bit more jaded and cynical.

On Friday March 15, 2013, my mom, my little brother Jean Marco and I went to see The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.

I went to this movie with low expectations after hearing some mixed opinions about it.

The screenplay of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was written by Chad Kultgen, Tyler Mitchell, John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein and the movie is based on John Francis Daley's love of magic.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is about two successful magicians named Burt Wonderstone (played by Steve Carell) and Anton Marvelton (played by Steve Buscemi) who after 30 years of success quit working together because Burt is a rude and cocky womaniser who refuses to change his current rountine. Burt loses his job because his repeative current rountine isn't making any money and he refuses to come up with any new acts. But later on Burt and Anton notice that people are loving a new street magician named Steve Gray (played by Jim Carrey) who does pretty crazy and dangerous acts like card tricks involving cheek cuts, holding his arm above burning candles or sleeping on red hot coals. While working as a magician at a retirement home for other entertainers in Las Vegas Burt meets an old magician named Rance Holloway (played by Alan Arkin) who inspired Burt to become a magician when he was a bulled 11 year old kid. So Rance helps Burt, Anton and their smart, funny and gorgeous assistant Jane (played by Olivia Wilde) come up with an act that will help them overthrow Steve and regain something that Burt lost not too long ago.

I thought that the story of The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was edgy, funny and charming but I wish that some of the sexual humor and profanity was toned down because it makes me think that this movie had trouble deciding if it wanted to be either a dark comedy movie or a comedy movie that familes will enjoy watching.

Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi, Olivia Wilde, Alan Arkin, James Gandolfini and Jim Carrey all do a good job. Steve Carell, Steve Buscemi and Jim Carrey provide some hysterical moments to keep the movie alive. Olivia Wilde is a smart, funny and gorgeous love interest and Alan Arkin does a wonderful job in giving The Incredible Burt Wonderstone it's heart.

The Incredible Burt Wonderstone was directed by Don Scardino, who directed some episodes of 30 Rock and even though he made the tone of this movie feel uneven I thought Don directed this movie with a decent and funny touch.

I loved the magic tricks in this movie. The music score by Lyle Workman is nice.

I liked the great messages in this movie about the importance of friendship and more importanitly that the career that Burt has should come from a sense of his joy and and passion and not just because of the fame, money and the cute girlfriends.

Overall The Incredible Burt Wonderstone is not as aggravating as Leon and Co-Host think it is. It may be an edgy comedy movie with an uneven tone but it's also funny and charming comedy movie. I give The Incredible Burt Wonderstone 3 out of 5 stars, a Matinée! and I hope you enjoy The Incredible Burt Wonderstone.

The only problem is, BENTOBOX, Spill has bashed modern Adult Swim in a few podcasts.

Sooo not sure how that'd work out.

I'm impressed with the progression of the video reviews. I can see this being a series on Adult Swim, the possibilities are limitless!
