In my opinion Pixar's winning streak continutes with Cars 2.

I thought Cars 2 was a delightful, funny, action-packed animated movie sequel with a touching message about not doubting yourself and your intelligence to gain the confidence necessary to help save the day and you dont have to change who your are in order to fit in with your best friend's other friends.

    I give Cars 2 5 out of 5 stars.

    (Better Than Sex).

High Matinee. I really enjoyed this movie, but I was expecting a bit too much from Mater since I normally find Larry the Cable Guy to be hilarious. Sadly, Mater just wasn't all that funny. I got a few chuckles, but nothing that really made me laugh out loud. While this movie fails at being a family comedy, it succeeds at being a family action flick. I found the action scenes to be the best thing in this movie. Way better than the racing.

I think I tend to judge Pixar and Disney movies on a higher scale than any other film, but what makes me want to cry is that I agree with this review. I saw it opening night...and I wish I hadn't. Yes, Pixar got another box office hit, but at the expense of it's older crowd. It lacks ANY luster or imagination that comes with a Pixar or Disney film. It makes me wonder if John Lasseter (as a co-director & co-writer) just said "F*ck it, do whatever you want" Because it doesn't have the spark that comes with John Lasseter's TLC on movies...

oh yeah, and why the crap isn't there a Kung Fu Panda 2 review? To me its the best movie of the year so far

yeah Spill is spot on with this one. The problem is that it just lacks any magic: Disney or Pixar. To be honest, it's actually boring. It's just sad because since the last Cars was released, Pixar has managed to make not only its best films of all time, but some of THE best films of all time and then this comes out for their 25th anniversary... its just disappointing but there's hope

Halfway through the trailer the plot seemed like every episode of Speed Racer.

Can anybody recognize the picture above Korey's couch? I Think one might be Mortisha from the Addams Family but I'm not sure.

    Great review though

Cars has always been my least favorite pixar proporty.  I think It's a pretty stupid idea.  But leave it to pixar to do something creative and cool with it.  Cars 2 isn't a great movie, but I liked it enough to give it a Matinee.  By the way, great review guys, very funny.  Keep on truckin'

ps... Hentai car porn?.... wow, you guys really cover all bases don't you.

Pixar has really let me down lately. Up nearly put me to sleep and Toy Story 3 failed to re-establish any connection between me and the characters I've known since I was 5. I somehow didn't care what happened to Woody and the rest and felt no interest in the story. I would say that Cars is Pixar's worst franchise if Ratatouille hadn't literally put my family and myself to sleep. At least Cars was somewhat entertaining.

That being said, Cars was already the lowest rated Pixar film (by a long shot) so it's obvious to me that they made this one just to sell more toys to 10-year old kids. I think Pixar is often way overrated (especially around awards season), but I still respected them. Cars 2 reeks of cynicism.

I've been saying this ever since How to Train Your Dragon and I'll say it again: Dreamworks is starting to get its sh*t together. I honestly believe that Pixar needs to start watching its back.

I didn't see this and I probably won't, but why is everyone talking about Pixar selling out?  They made one bad movie.  Think about the last couple movies they made- Toy Story 3 and Up.  Those two were among the best animated movies of all time.

I saw it in 3D today. I'm sorry guys but I give it a Better than Sex! Like the first Cars, its not Pixar's best film but I freaking loved it! The animation was great, the characters were likable especially Mater, the music was fantastic, and it was funny as hell!

yeah, pixar had to sell out eventually. Hopefully it was an isolated incident.

Unfortunately, in terms of this movie, it might be clear to see that the money had gotten to John Lasseters head, and he momentarally thaught more about the money than he did about the film.

Hopefully, he will notice this mistake in the upcoming reviews and give himself a good smack around the face for it.

I am a huge pixar fan, and I haven't lost faith in them yet. They still have the cance to prove to me that they care about the films they make, but for the first time, I have a fear that that faith I once had may one day be gone for good.
