I know this all really happened in the 1920's. But it were up to me, I would have taken a gun and blown those f**king corrupt cops heads off! They should have died alone with the serial killer! Still, I did like this movie, It belongs in a Pile of Movies that are brilliant but so tradgic that you couldn't watch them again, Grave of the Fireflies for example! FULL PRICE.

When I saw this movie at the cinema I got really angry at the whole situation, and I rarely get angry while watching movies. Why didn't the corrupt police department at least try to be a bit devious and sneaky about lying to Angelina Jolie's character. But no effort at all! It was like: Corrupt Police: "This is your son" Angelina Jolie: "That's not my son" CP: "Yes it is" AJ: "No it's not" CP: "Yes it is" AJ: "No it's not" CP: "Yuh huh" AJ: "Nuh uh" And so on and so on. Urgh! Surely people were not that dumb back in the 20s. For me the movie gets interesting when Michael Kelly's character get more involved into the story. But I couldn't get over how bad the police were at lying, which kinda ruined the movie for me. I'd give this a Rental.

it's so dumb that she would say it's not hers but take it home anyway like that's going to make anyone help you 'it's not mine, come home with me so i can show everyone"

I just saw this one this afternoon, and I have been missing out. I easily give this one a full price, and probably in my Top 5 for the year so far. The only gripe I had with it was the first hour was just way to slow. They could have cut everything that happened in the first hour into 15 minutes. The last 90 minutes were some of the best filmmaking I've seen this year. But, I'm a bit biased towards sad/dark movies and true stories, so take that for what you will.

Actually I've seen pics of Angelina after giving birth, and she looked a lot better. The curves work great on her!

Can't say I want to see this more after that review. Clint is really down now, bitter old man. Previews for that new movie he's in has him playing himself, just with a shotgun!

I don't know why everyone hates Angelina Jolie all of a sudden. She looks pale in the movie because that's just the style of the film. She's extremeley beautiful, she's talented, and even though it seems crazy to people: she's giving. She's not a Paris Hilton, or any of these other female actors who just don't give back.

I thought this was a dumb movie for an actress like Jolie anyways. She's best in action movies I'd say (Wanted, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, Tomb Raider).

This movie should be dark...it's based off the Wineville Chicken Coop murders where a California farmer kidnapped 20 kids, forced them to work his farm, and killed most of them. The crime was so horrific they changed the name of the town and the police needed something to spin doctor the whole murder. After the Visitors, Black Dahlia, and Zodiac...California has a bizarre state history. Anyways, I think Jolie did a very good job of a woman caught up in the middle of this mess. In the end, it's not about Justice but about coping with the damage.
