    A low Full Price!

low Full Price for me. The acting has improved from the first movie. Some driving stunts are not very realistic, but the end game climax makes up for it. If you enjoy story and character development, then this isn't the movie for you. In other words, if you're a girl, you won't like this movie, unless you're into cars like that chick from Transformers.

Sorry this one sucked. "The Fast and the Furious" was the best one. The second one was funny. Tokyo Drift? this one? I mean they just have to stop. There certainly have to be better scripts being written. Movie Trivia

I finally saw this at a matinee yesterday and I mostly agree with Cargill. I actually thought it was pretty poor for about the first 40 minutes or so. The opening scene, which you've seen most of in the previews, is pretty silly and starts to look not so "heroic" in light of the recent pirate situation. About an hour in, the first big race sceen through the city at night is amazing, and from that point on I was hooked. The driving scenes through the mountain tunnels across the border blew me away. By the credits I was smiling even if the whole thing was 30 minutes too long and could've been quicker paced (like the original). It's a good matinee and will be a great rental.

Bert, you must be joking. You have never seen a movie that glorifies something worse than street racing? I find that rather hard to believe. No, I am not talking about action-adventure films exclusively, and even if I was there would be a comparison, depending on what the film in question was glorifying. Plus, F&F is an action film, so you just included the move you are so upset about in a genre that you apparently deem as non-influential, or something along those lines. I ventured into a discussion about censorship because that is often the tactic used by people who say things similar to what you said. Yes, personal responsibility is very important, but if every human was responsible, there would be no crime, no war, etc. That is why I brought up the issue of parenting. It is the parent's responsibility to instill the values that would stop them from doing such idiotic things as street racing and doing drugs, but as just about every knows by the time they are in their teens, this does not happen to every child. You can't change people when they reach a certain age, outside of extreme methods that are illegal. Censorship is the only alternative, and it is not effective; that's why I brought it up. Most people do not get upset at movies for doing that because movies are entertainment. Most want to go to the movies and see things that in the real world would not happen, or things that they do not have the ability to do. I personally do not think that F&F portrays that lifestyle as the most thrilling imaginable. It was absurd, almost as much as the paragraph in which you claim it not to be. You have no conclusive evidence to support this theory of yours; it is all speculation. Your theory is plausible, but with no evidence to support your claim of a connection between what happened that night and the movie, it is speculation. Say a lawsuit was filed against the people behind this movie for damages from that street race you talked about. If the plaintiff used your argument to make his/her case, it would be thrown out due to lack of evidence. You assume too much. You assume that these kids saw this movie, you assume that after they saw this film that they decided to try out the impossible stunts done in said film. Your assumptions are not outlandish, but they are based only on your opinion on the matter, not facts, and thus are not credible when making such an accusation. Like I said before, if the stupid people impressionable enough to be influenced by this movie weren't watching it, they'd be imitating some other dumb thing that they thought looked cool. You'd be trading one evil for another, possibly worse evil. Yet another absurd claim... by the logic stated in your second comment, in the final paragraph, street racing outside of the Southern US was non-existent until this film series came along. There was plenty of street racing in large cities, in all parts of the US, by drivers who weren't rednecks before the first F&F film came out, and there will be after the series is dead. Just because this is a film discussion forum does not mean that everything outside of that spectrum should be ignored.

This film.....this film was just utter utter tripe. The plot was weak, the "twist" was completely obviously from the start, The only saving feature was the HOT ASS women throughout this film. How some mullet haired cowboy gets 4 fine women back to his place for an orgy is beyond me. Maybe its because Im pushing 30 but seeing a bunch of hot women making out for the shock factor is just insulting. Looking around the cinema I could see what type of crowd was drawn to this film and Im just not in that crowd. Dont get me wrong, I like the "leave your brain at the door" type of films, but this was just shit. Im gonna have to say "Some ol' bullshit"

Number one I love Toyko Drift, Number two I love F&F part one. Haveing the director of F&FTD direct part 4 is what made me want to see this movie and I was not disapointed one bit. This is what should have been instead of 2 fast 2 furious and I am glad that it was made before it was too late. This is a full price to me it deliverd everything I wanted it too and a little bit more. My only main complaint is that Jordana Brewster did not get more screen time she is freaking hot and from what i have seen actually a pretty good actor that does not get to do much in this movie. Justin Lin still deserves a patt on the back for this movie and Toyko Drift both movies are in my books tied for best in the series. Now if only the teenaged idiots with thier mom and dads care would not drive like idiots out of the theater it would have been a perfect night.

Bert i totally understand where your coming from but it's just a movie. I understand kids that are easily influenced but dont let that rule your life. These kids are going to do stupid shit regardless. I don't wanna go to the theater to see something that i can go and do. I want to see them doing something i wish could. Like fly, crash into shit you catch my drift.Would you go watch a movie about a 24 year white kid from western mass that plays way too much call of duty and then goes to the movies and then the bar. That's what i do which isn't bad but would probably be the most boring movie ever. I wanna see cars crash and funny shit happen. That's just my 2 cents.

Maybe I'm missing all of the 'glorification of worse things than illegal street racing' in movies, but I doubt it. If you're talking about action/adventure films and the like, then there's really no comparison. Why you venture into a discussion about censorship, I have no idea. I am speaking only about personal responsibility. Both of us would agree that the street racers have a personal responsibility, but for some reason few people get upset when movies go so far out of their way to portray people who, in the real world, would be regarded as the biggest douchebags in town (specifically, the Walker and Diesel characters from the first movie) out to be the coolest people living the most thrilling lifestyles imaginable. And my last paragraph was certainly not absurd. The movie came out on the 3rd, a Friday. The racing took place the next night, a Saturday, when kids tend to go out and see movies. There's no stretch that they may have just seen the movie and were so pumped by it that they acted out. How in the hell you can call an act of street racing "unrelated" to the debut of a film from 'the' street racing film franchise on the very weekend it was released is the absurdity, as if these kids were unaware that the movie had just come out. I find this garbage repulsive, not only because I've seen with my own eyes how it influences young impressionable types, but because this film franchise helped raise something that a decade ago was the domain of rednecks, to a more 'respectable' mainstream status, at least around here. There are certainly a number of other factors involved, but this being a film discussion forum, you might be able to catch on as to why I don't delve into all of that.

Bert, you must not watch very many movies, as there are plenty that glorify things worse than street racing. Also, these movie don't necessarily glorify the illegal "sport," as tragedy often follows the people involved in the racing in these films. Sure, there are the simple-minded morons who will see this and stupidly imitate the actions, but if they weren't copying these movies, they'd be imitating something else they saw in a movie or on TV. It really comes down to parenting on the subject. If the people were raised well, then they will be smart enough to know to NOT do these things; if they weren't raised well, then censoring everything that would influence their weak minds would do little to help the situation. One more thing, that last paragraph is absurd. You have no proof that the people that were racing that night did so because of any of these movies. I seriously doubt that those people saw one of these movies, got the idea to get into the illegal hobby, and then went out and spent thousands of dollars on a car that could compete. You are using an unrelated tragedy to make your point, and that's pathetic, not to mention deceitful and disgraceful. While you intentions are good, you are dead wrong in how you are trying to convey them. Anyway, this was a damn good movie, and my favorite of the series. I give it a matinee if your a regular person, and a full price if you are a gear head or a "tough" guy.

Haven't seen this one, but I hate this series on principle. Never have I seen a film (or series) that does so much to glorify something so stupid, in this case street racing of course. It would be like making a film series about shooting heroin, making it out to be the greatest thing ever, not once ever stopping to say, "gee, isn't this at least a little bit reckless, dangerous, self-destructive?" The people who race on public streets are morons, period. A few days ago several people were killed due to a couple of little idiots emulating this garbage here in Charlotte. Unfortunately, none of those who died were the idiots racers, but instead included small children who happened to be in a car that was passing by the scene. The people who made the movie can't be blamed for the decisions made by the young idiots who decided to race that night, but I have to wonder if the idiots would have been racing the way they did had this movie not just come out.

The cars and the women in this movie are fast and furious...but the story and line delivery was flaccid and infuriating. If you’re a motor head and love a good car chase then this would be a good movie for you...also if you have a cinema near you that you can drink at while watching this flick then you will enjoy it that much more. I give it a matinee.
