There were times for me, when the film bordered on Better than Sex (the Vegas sequence, especially), but as a whole, it's a Matinee. About 75% of the film is funny, but the film's plotline paves the way for what is basically a bunch of well written skits. No matter how funny these scenes are, they don't quite form a proper cohesive whole, and the film's final third reaches some super melodramatic heights. This problem would be much bigger on an artistic level if it weren't for the oddly layered lead performances. I had tons of fun watching it, but that does not exempt it from criticism.

This movie isn’t the best in the world but I really did enjoy it. Sure it had some stupid parts but there were way more funny parts than stupid parts in it. I’m not going to complain, It was a good time killer.

Barely a rental. P Didn't hasn't shown any real acting in a movie since Monster's Ball. If he wants anyone to take him serious he NEEDS to do what Willie Smith did and humble himself into a role that does not paint him to be a bad ass. As far as Jonah and Russel go, one name Pauly Shore. That is the depth of the acting.

I really enjoyed it, but I understand your criticisms as well. I thought it was pure gold until the last 15 mins. (SPOILER) I thought they should have killed Aldos off, it could have been great.

Yeah, this movie had some funny stuff in it, but it was not so great overall. Then again I also thought the hangover was easily the most overrated comedy I've seen in a while (old school being incredibly overrated as well). It pretty much relies on people going, "o, Ive been fucked up before, so this is automatically funny." plus I just HATE puff daddy

If you don't like forgetting sarah marshall u wouldn't like this. It's a comedy if ur expecting a clever judd apatow comedy ull be disappointed. The cleverness comes in with the improv something "mature and clever" comedies don't have a lot of. There's a certain charm of an apatow film but if u think about it most ppl going would expect a dumb comedy so a rental I think is kinda harsh but its ur opinion.
