Not being a reader of the books, I give this movie a FULL PRICE because it was really fun and the final battle was really cool. The Umbridge character was obnoxious though, wow.

I, personally think that the books are not as good as the movies. My favorite is the fourth because of the action!

I agree with Matt. My favorite book was the fifth, least favorite the sixth. Yes, they did leave a lot out, and that's the reason why this is my least favorite movie. I'm not sure if I will watch the sixth one or not...sigh, I know I will, since Harry Potter is my favorite book series so far. Other then Terry Brooks' Shannara series.

I give this a full price. Cyrus, I'm gonna disagree with you. My least favorite was actually the sixth book just cuz of the whole backstory motif. I thought, "Eh, I've seen this already in Wicked (the musical and the book) and Revenge of the Sith". So I was actually disappointed with it for that reason and not the more obvious reason that would cause me to write SPOILER WARNING. That said, I loved this movie as much as the book (even though Harry's constant bitching kinda pissed me off in the book. It was like, "Oh Harry, if you just shut the fuck up, you wouldn't have to write all that shit with your own blood!") The movie handled that particular troubling aspect of the book better and my hate for Umbridge...let me tell ya, my high school was run by Umbridges but without the sugary sweet facade that JK Rowling created and that Imelda Staunton plays perfectly. So I really identified with this. What does kinda suck is that since they couldn't do everything from the book, they couldn't include the passage where the three kids run into Lockhart at the hospital. Woulda been a great cameo opportunity for ol' Kenneth Branagh!

I'm not just gonna say FULL PRICE on this one, I'm gonna say FULL PRICE of the whole series (so far). I can't wait till part 6 comes out. I don't really read the book. The woman that played Umbrige (the bitch) was also in Freedom Writers. Voltamore is still #1 in my top 10 villans list.

I was dissapointed by this movie. I felt it kinda had a cop-out feel to it. It felt like it was building up to a big climatic showdown...and...it never really got there. I'm gonna say Matinee

This movie SUCKS, thousands of people won't read the books because the movies suck so much. The reason the books are so good is because of the lighthearted fun parts. The movies take out these parts and leave in the worst parts. THE BULLSHIT EMOTIONAL GARBAGE.

While I enjoyed Order of the Pheniox, I was dissipointed how they changed things from the books and added what wasn't. I read the books all the time. I have all seven and periodically read to refresh and discover that I might have missed in earlier readings. I only wish J K Rowling would begin another secquence of Books that would read as good and have a fantacy, wizarding, or similar format. I do have trouble finding good, non sexual, non murderous things to read.

Snape, played by Alan Rickman, is truly godlike ! The man is just hilarious and evil ! LOL ! I do agree the book 's better than the movie...there was just too much information to put in one picture ! The storyline was interesting, it's not one of my favourite books, but it was definately the most spectacular HP-movie of all time ! I'm curious....how will HP 6 look like ?

I think the books are great. And the movies are just as good. The actors do a really good job about putting themselves into the characters shoes and they are just doing their jobs. And to all you people who don't like Harry Potter I just want to say "YOU SUCK".

Put it this way: the fifth book (UK version) has 766 pages, the seventh has 506, yet they're splitting The Deathly Hallows into two movies. So how are they supposed to fit everything from an even bigger book into one film? I used to think that the films were terrible, purely because of all the bits they missed out that made the books the pride of a generation, but then I figured this out, and learnt to see the films for their ENTERTAINMENT value. No, they don't have everything from the books in, but for a two and a half hour film it's pretty decent- none of the Lord of the Rings films had every little detail in, did they? Think about it, if someone had written these films off their own imagination they'd be regarded as an amazing film writer. So, give Harry Potter a break, and if you think the films are crap- DON'T WATCH THEM.

I thought that the movie was so chopped up. It also drove me nuts that the costumes (with the exception of the bad girl) looked like they came from a second hand store as they looked like they were on their last legs. I was also so disappointed that they made Ginny look like she was better than Hermoine. I'm sorry but Ginny is a back stabing, sleeping around idiot. Hermoine is smart, brave, determined, kind and caring; she should have married Harry.

I really loved all of the books. I don't know what all those haters are talking about. The movie had a lot of action but it really left SOOOO much out. The movies are always a let down for me. Don't get me wrong, I liked all the movies. The books are just so much better.
