Thought it was great. The suspense and thrill is in it the first time I saw it.

    High Full Price for me.

Low full price the first time I saw it the theatres. Rented it and turned into some old bullshit.

this was so close to being a decent film. As others have said, the disaster scenes were awesome, but the ending was bollocks! It's like they just didn't know how to end it, so tacked this alien/new Adam and Eve crap on

Was a high rental or low matinee for about an hour, and after that, it became Some Ole Bullshit!

Full Price. I absolutely love this movie. Sure it does get a little boring at points, but it's all necessary to tell the story. We can't always have explosions and shit to help tell the story. I love Nicholas Cage in every movie since National Treasure and he still amazes me to this day. I do agree that no one could have picked out the date for 9/11, but it had to get there sooner or later. The disator scenes were amazing, especially the plane and train scenes.

The disasters were impressive. But that's it. Then the ending just had me almost shouting out at the ending 'bullshit'.

I don't get what was so hard to understand about the ending or why so many people hated it. I don't mean to come across as offensive, but seriously, what was so horrible about it? I don't remember the aliens going "Fuck you Jesus, we're putting our money on Yoda."

I rented this and I liked it and I thought it was ok until the end. Also it was too long High Rental because of the look and the story was ok.

I think this film is a Rental. The scene with the plane crash was just awesome and I thought the special effects weren't terrible (just... odd). Someone earlier said they didn't see it as trying to pull a religious thing, and I agree. It used elements of Abrahamic religious tradition, yeah, but as a reference (which they pulled off terribly as well). Pros: Some scenes were pretty cool, plot concept was pretty cool. Cons: Overacted, bad script, the plot was pulled off badly, bad choice of actors, etc...

Well that was depressing. A few entertaining scenes but the film had a major identity crisis, weak script and crap performances. For some reason I can't figure out though, I don't think it's quite a bullshit rating. Just a low rental. I've seen worse.

I thought I'd hate this, but I really liked it. Maybe I don't know enough about film yet, but I really enjoyed it. There were a few cheesy parts, but I'm siding with the minority here, and I'll give it a full price (although you're gonna have to rent it cause it's obviously not in theaters anymore).

The first 15 minutes of the film was not too bad, but after that the film just went straight down hill. It was a good try but seriously, that plane crash was awsome. That's the only thing that won it for me. I agree with everyone else though about the ending. It sucked. Low Rental for me.

I'm split in my thoughts of this. The story is ok, even with its uneveness, flaws and holes. The special effects are amazing and among the best I have ever seen. So for the effects, I would say watch it. I it a low rental (when you have nothing else you really want to see).

Knowing was good enough to see in theaters but the ending made no flipin sense. Nothing was solved. All those disasters pretty much happend for no reason. it just leaves you with a blank expression of WTF

But the aliens, I'll admit, were cool for a little bit. I was getting images of Lost up until the spaceship came. (cue Close Encounters of the Third Kind theme)

All right. So what is the deal with this movie? It's Signs reborn with an ending that makes absolutely no sense. Troubled dad, check. Kid with a minor disability, check. Scene with the kid looking out the window, check. Mom dies in an accident, check. No coincidences, check. Aliens, double check. Noises that only the kids notice, check. Unseen threat to the world, check. Cage even pulls a "running into the cornfield with a flashlight" maneuver. And for all their playing off of a perfectly sound film, it was still awful. For a while I was intrigued, but I was actually laughing at the end because it was so unbelievable. It started fine, got cool for the first two minutes of the plane wreck, and dissolved into borrowed lines and basically stupid characters. (Why do they keep leaving the kids in the car? Every time something bad happens to them.)
